Sambatek is currently seeking a seasonal Environmental Scientists/Biologists to work on numerous projects during 2018, with a potential for full time employment. This individual will lead field services and office report preparation to support the planning, design, and approvals of site improvements for wind and solar energy projects and residential and commercial land development projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Complete initial desktop research of project site
Perform routine wetland delineations
Prepare reports and participate in regulatory meetings
Prepare permit applications
Execute mitigation design and monitoring
Complete biological assessments for RTE species
Complete Phase I ESA studies
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Soil Science, Biology, Botany, or a related natural science field
1-2 years of wetland science experience with technical proficiency in wetland delineation and a soil understanding of state and federal wetland regulations
Familiarity with US Army Corps of Engineers wetland delineation manual and regional supplements for multiple regions of the US, as well as the Minnesota Wetland Conservation Act
Proficiency in coordinating regulatory field meetings to review delineated wetland boundaries and obtaining wetland boundary confirmations
Comfortable working outdoors in remote locations for long periods of time in hot and/or cold climatic conditions
Experience with GPS equipment and ArcGIS is preferred
Strong self-motivation, strong communication skills (verbal and written), leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks on multiple projects keeping strong attention to detail
