Dominion's Renewable Energy Operations organization is seeking a dynamic, detailed oriented and organized Renewable Energy Project Manager to manage and provide site supervision for several renewable energy projects.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the third-party Operation and Maintenance team(s), counterparties, vendors, and corporate support organizations in Richmond, VA (construction, legal, energy marketing, engineering, finance, accounting, tax, and environmental) to achieve maximum site profitability with safety, ethics and compliance in mind.
The ideal candidate will have considerable experience with energy development projects, energy contracts, familiarity with system operators and balancing authorities (such as CAISO) and experience interacting with local, county, and state permitting authorities.
Required Qualifications: 7+ years of related work experience.
Ability to direct and manage the work of others, including the ability to influence without authority.
Proven field experience including direct labor management and use of workflow tools such as work order management systems.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Leading efforts to ensure that health, safety, security and environmental (HSSE) concerns are addressed during the operations phase of the projects, including supporting facility audits.
Managing the work of contracted employees to ensure work is planned, prioritized, scheduled and performed in a safe and timely manner.
Ensuring third-party Operation and Maintenance team(s) have strong Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in place and their teams are fully trained and implementing the SOPs.
Managing internal and external resources to optimize site production.
Collaborating with the third-party Operation and Maintenance team's Site Manager to manage the operation, maintenance and repair activities at all sites under your management to minimize production impacts (downtime) and associated costs.
Monitoring daily power plant output/system data and analyzing impacts on operational costs through reports from the third-party Operation and Maintenance provider.
Ensures site team works to expeditiously address performance issues.
Analyzing and summarizing SCADA data to prepare monthly performance reports for internal leadership.
Ensuring the third-party Operation and Maintenance is efficiently and effectively managing spare parts inventory.
Performs other duties as requested or assigned.
Required: High School diploma or GED.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering,, Engineering Technology, Accounting of Finance.
