Environmental Project Manager

Southfield MI

Manage and lead environmental consulting team(s). Variety of environmental consulting services including wetland determination and delineations, threatened and endangered species services, other wildlife and vegetation surveys, permitting and coordination with the MDEQ, MDNR, USFWS and other interested environmental agencies, and wetland and species mitigation strategies. Exceptional client and agency management skills are required. The goal of this position is to meet the client needs and achieve Atwell project objectives by representing Atwell in all communications with the client, managing Atwell environmental project teams, overseeing all project tasks, and quality control.

 

TYPICAL DUTIES

Ensure contractual relationship with client.

Develop project scopes of work, determine timeframes, budgets, staffing, and project schedules.

Organize project teams.

Establish and achieve project goals

Oversee and peer review work product.

Foster relationships with clients.

Develop future business.

 

Qualifications

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE / EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Environmental Services degree such as BS/MS in ecology, environmental science or management, zoology, biology, natural resources etc.

10+ year in the environmental consulting industry

5+ years in an Environmental Project Manager or Senior Environmental Consultant role

Local market knowledge and contacts.

Experience working with environmental agencies

Experience managing and mentoring other employees.

Technical expertise in avian, bat, herpetology, aquatic species and/or other natural resources preferred
