Position: Landscape Architect/Restoration Practitioner
Start Date: ASAP
Status: Part Time through August
Fred Phillips Consulting (FPC) is looking for an entry/mid level Landscape Architect/Restoration Practioner who can work remotly to help with restoration design/GIS/Technical writing. FPC specializes in award winning design including ecological restoration, parks, trails, wetland delineation and environmental monitoring and compliance. This position will include (but not be limited to) the following duties:
•1. Completing design concepts and construction documents for wetland and riparian restoration, trails and parks.
•2. Performing site analysis on restoration sites including wetland delineation, functional assesments (HGM).
•3. Assist with project management.
•4. Completing ARC GIS mapping of large scale restoration projects.
•5. Developing perspective sketches and renderings of designs.
•6. Assist with completing technical wetland restoration and functional assesment reports
Must have a degree in Landscape Architecture, Wildlife Biology, Ecological Restoration, Environmental Engineering or similar. Must have strong graphic and writing skills and be able to work independently/remotly in a challenging work environment. Must be proficient in AutoCAD, Arc GIS, and ADOBE CS and Microsoft office. Technical writing skills preferred Must be able to work in challenging field conditions, some outdoor guiding/field experience preferred.
