The Precourt Institute for Energy at Stanford University seeks a strategic, creative, results-oriented program management professional to design, oversee and implement signature cross-campus programs.

The Precourt Institute for Energy is the interdisciplinary hub for energy research, education and outreach at Stanford. The Stanford Precourt Institute for Energy draws on experts and resources across the university to help accelerate the transition to an affordable, low-carbon energy system for the world. Since its founding in 2009, the institute has become the go-to place for scholars, business leaders, policymakers and others seeking solutions to the world's most difficult energy challenges. The institute carries out its mission by funding early-stage energy research, developing new technologies and policies, educating leaders, and nurturing a vibrant energy ecosystem here and abroad.

Under general supervision of faculty directors and senior staff, develop, implement and administer the vision, strategy and goals for outreach programs at the Precourt Institute for Energy. Participate in program strategy development, long-range planning and partnership development to support engagement and community building amongst internal and external stakeholders in the Stanford energy ecosystem. In addition, liaise with colleagues across Stanford to feature Stanford content related to energy and climate change in Stanford University's signature activities.

Under general supervision, the Outreach Program Manager will manage and implement signature programs for the Stanford energy community, such as the weekly Energy Seminar, the Stanford Energy Internships in California and Colorado program and the Energy Transformation Collaborative. Deliver strategic quality content to constituents, and developing robust communications campaigns to support program engagement. In addition to these responsibilities, serve as a team member to develop and execute new programs or existing portions of other events and programs throughout the year, such as the mailto:Energy@Stanford five-day conference for incoming Stanford graduate students. Responsibilities include delivering the programs within scope, on time and within budget.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree and two or more years of relevant experience or combination of education, training, and relevant experience. Advanced degree may be required for some programs. Research experience. Program administration experience may be required.

 

Certifications and Licenses:

• For teaching jobs, advanced degree or certification may be required for some programs.
