Are you a trails enthusiast with organizational leadership and project management experience? Would you enjoy a multi-faceted position leading a small, cohesive team of staff and volunteers in the satisfying, mission-driven work of expanding the Eastern Trail? Guaranteed that no two days will be alike during your work week! You will manage day-to-day trail operations, work with Southern Maine municipalities to oversee design, permitting and construction projects for future phases of the Trail, identify and seek funding including from donors, foundations, and state/federal sources, take the lead on public relations and advocacy, and manage budgets and 3 part time staff. You’ll have the support of two compatible boards of directors (The Eastern Trail Alliance and the Eastern Trail Management District) whose members bring experience, encouragement and enthusiasm, and the skills and hard work of committed staff members. This is a full time, salaried position with paid holiday, sick and vacation time, stipends for health insurance and cell phone use, and reimbursement for travel. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
