The Donor Relations Multimedia Specialist will partner with the Donor Portal Production Manager and Director of Donor Stewardship on an organization-wide project that will leverage technology to deepen and enhance TNC’s donor engagement strategies to grow sustained philanthropic investment in the organization. The Specialist will be responsible for learning and maximizing digital tools, such as a personalized online portal to strengthen donor relations and engagement, and is directly involved in piloting, expanding and scaling up of digital tools used to engage our donors.



The Donor Relations Multimedia Specialist will work towards meeting the strategic priorities of the Donor Relations team by developing, sourcing, and managing digital-first content to maximize the benefits of digital donor engagement for lead donors to the Conservancy. They will identify existing compelling stories, visuals, infographics and narratives and share with donors through individualized digital platforms, while creating new content. This role is an exciting opportunity for people who are passionate about project management, love communication, possess a high attention to detail, enjoy networking and connecting across a large, decentralized organization and who are motivated to use these skills to help steward a large and diverse group of donors. They will add content to digital platforms to enhance donor interaction with the Conservancy. They will manage, track, and report on digital donor engagement and identify trends. They will provide recommendations and targeted training related to using digital engagement tools to most effectively deepen donor relationships with the organization.

The Specialist must have knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager and customer relationship management (CRM) experience in order to provide programmatic support and coordinate communications related to the resources. They will have substantial contact with internal stakeholders, including marketing, communications, information technology and external affairs, and may serve as the lead liaison with external partners, including vendors, consultants and donors. They may take on additional duties to enhance the work of the project, such duties may include, but are not limited to, a more significant role in training, developing documentation, and/or enhancing the systems and tools used by the team. The Specialist will keep up-to-date on marketing, technology, and donor engagement trends and best practices in order to improve services and donor experiences. They will adapt processes and implement recommended practices in order to improve effectiveness based on their in-depth understanding of related policies and procedures.



Act independently within broad program goals to prioritize tasks in the absence of specific instructions and exercise independent judgment to identify and solve problems.

Does not supervise any staff but may manage work of peers on departmental project teams.

Ensure compliance with TNC policies and procedures, and external (donor/legal/IRS) requirements.

Financial responsibility includes working within a budget.

Manage projects with several variables, set realistic deadlines, manage a timeline, and ensure accountability.

May provide oversight for a key function of the team.

Provide input through project teams for the development and implementation of new initiatives or the improvement of existing programs.

Travel and work overtime as needed.

Work environment involves only infrequent exposure to disagreeable elements and minor physical exertion and/or strain.

Work is diversified and may not always fall under established practices and guidelines.

Work within scope of program’s strategic goals.



Bachelor’s degree or 3 years related experience or equivalent combination.

Experience generating reports and analyzing and interpreting data.

Experience working across departments.

Experience with current technology in digital marketing and communications.

Experience, coursework, or other training in principles and practices of digital marketing and communications.



Commitment to principles of justice, diversity, equity and inclusion.

Experience shooting, editing and posting video.

Experience designing for the web.

Experience editing and selecting photography.

Ability to implement complex processes.

Ability to use existing technology to achieve desired results.

Demonstrated experience using diplomacy and tact to build strong relationships and motivate staff.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, including writing for the web.

Experience coordinating projects.

Experience interpreting guidelines to achieve desired results.

Experience with philanthropic strategy.

Experience working with a geographically dispersed team.

Knowledge of current trends in the specific field.

Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience are appreciated.

Strong organization skills, accuracy, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Successful experience implementing strategic program goals.

Salary Range - $64,000 - $81,000, varies by location
