Experience:

2-4 years experience in the energy industry

Experience managing a diverse set of energy policy issues

Legislative or regulatory advocacy experience preferred

 

Education:

BA, with focus on policy, economics, or energy

Master’s in policy, energy, or economics preferred

 

Required Skills/Competencies:

Understanding of electricity markets and renewable energy

Highly motivated and organized self-starter

Ability to manage a diverse portfolio of projects

Excellent written, speaking and interpersonal skills

Strong quantitative analysis skills

Proficient use of all Microsoft Office suite programs

 

Essential Responsibilities:

Tracking, and analyzing legislative and regulatory developments in selected states

Reporting on policy developments to internal business units

Advocate for First Solar policy priorities in relevant trade associations

Support meetings with public officials and staff

Drafting and presenting testimony in legislative and regulatory proceedings

Other duties as assigned

This position reports to the Director of Regulatory & Public Affairs

 

Travel:

Travel: up to 40%
