Solar Performance Specialist

The Solar Performance Specialist (SPS) is a key contributor to the Solar Installation process. They will provide needed support to the Field Service team and great service to customers, field employees and corporate employees.


Key Job Duties:

Own the customer experience for all operational solar customers in a geographical area

Optimize schedules of 10-20 technicians to allow for a maximum number of appointments to be scheduled each day

Monitor system performance of assigned customers and follow up with recently scheduled appointments to verify system stability

Prioritize service appointments for lowest performing systems with consideration of technician’s current routes

Receive calls from Field Service Professionals and facilitate same-day schedule changes and appointment additions

Communicate with customers to dispatch service appointments and answer any related questions to solar performance

Log customer interactions and appointment details into Salesforce and other related systems

Perform frequent audits on the schedules of assigned technicians, to ensure error-free dispatching and efficient appointment-setting

Utilize 3rd Party Monitoring portal websites to research system performance and dispatch technicians with the best skill sets for each needed fix

Work with remotely-based warehouse staff to ensure inventory needed for each fix is available before each appointment


Necessary Skills and Experience:

Organizational skills

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Understanding of scheduling processes

Goal-oriented and self-motivated

Able to handle many tasks at once in a fast-paced environment

Moderate Excel/Spreadsheets skill preferred

Proficient with the Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Analytical skills preferred

2+ years scheduling or supervisory experience strongly preferred

2+ years’ experience with customer interaction strongly preferred

Ability to meet deadlines and set others to keep deadlines

Ability to work well on a non-local team with a non-local manager

Ability to communicate with other departments
