Responsible for overseeing the environmental compliance during solar project construction, and maintaining compliance with permit conditions during operation. This includes compliance oversight of the contractor, consultants, and project tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Developing environmental compliance program for each project covering all local, state and federal permitting requirements.
Audit and evaluate current policies, procedures, and documentation for compliance with government laws and regulations.
Develop and implement programs designed to increase onsite project awareness and knowledge of compliance policies, and long-range remedial solutions in response to environmental/regulatory practice investigations or existing hazardous conditions in order to reduce risk and protect company assets.
Reviewing/managing preparation of technical reports and providing quality assurance/quality control of project documents with a focus on compliance of permit conditions, procedures, and regulatory agency policies and regulations.
Provide technical input into engineering design
Provide technical support for permit applications and permit modifications
Develop strong professional relationships with regulatory personnel and act as Strata Solar’s primary point of contact with regulatory agencies
Provides technical and professional support for compliance with applicable regulations and management of programs at the site, and due diligence support related to new projects and mergers/acquisitions.
Investigate and resolve compliance problems, questions, or complaints received from within the company, customers, government regulatory agencies, etc.
Negotiate remediation solutions with environmental/regulatory agencies to minimize regulatory impact and compliance damages.
Preparation of training materials, incident reports, root cause analysis and generation of monthly reports.
Other duties as assigned.
Managing and performing field audits and monitoring for construction projects and photovoltaic energy facilities.
Provide guidance and direction the project civil/environmental specialists
Education and/or Work Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Environmental Engineering, Environmental, Environmental Science, or other related field.
At least 3-5 years of increasing project management experience with multi-disciplinary environmental compliance projects and proven responsibility with scope / schedule / budget.8+ years land development experience
Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulatory agency laws, regulations, and permitting requirements.
Detailed knowledge of Erosion and Sediment Control and Stormwater regulations and compliance strategies.
Experience in providing leadership to diverse project teams on high-pressure, high-visibility projects.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications with advanced skills in Excel
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
Work is performed in the office and on project sites and will require occasional overnight travel.
