Solar Crew Lead

Mechanicsburg PA

Trinity Solar, the Northeast largest privately-owned solar integrator, is seeking a Solar Crew Lead to manage a small crew on solar installation projects for our office located in Mechanicsburg, PA. The Solar Crew Lead will be responsible for leading a particular team in the installations of grid-tied solar PV systems. The Solar Crew Lead will also communicate job status data to management and ensure the completion of installation for all assigned solar arrays/systems. Candidates for the Solar Crew Lead position will be reliable, able to lead others and will value quality work.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide leadership and technical expertise for the PV installation crew

Communicate the necessary job status information to the project management team to assure the successful operation of complete and working systems

Communicate the necessary job status information to the customer

Lead efforts for safe working practices for the installation team

Pull inventory for each installation job

Mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules, and electrical equipment

Electrical wiring of solar array/system (AC and DC)

Document completion of each installation with pictures and job closeout checklists

Cleanup of job site

Attend mandatory training sessions on safety, new products, and installation best practices

Additional duties required as needed

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be self-motivated, reliable, and take pride in your work and craftsmanship

Able to work in a team environment

Able to maintain a high level of professionalism and attention to detail

Able to work in various positions including, but not limited to stooping, standing, bending forward, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods of time

Able to wear protective equipment such as harnesses, hard hats, work boots, and protective eyewear

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work comfortably on a roof daily

Must have a full range of mobility in the upper and lower body

Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check, driving record check, and drug screening

1+ year(s) of solar installation experience preferred
