Solar Installer Entry Level or Experienced Job Description

Our solar installer teams work Monday through Thursday (occasionally on Fridays), often on rooftops, all over the front range of Colorado in all types of weather.

 

Responsibilities

Ensure personal, crew and job site safety at all times

Ensure all necessary materials and tools arrive to the job site

Ensure all solar PV installations are completed to system design specifications and meet expected top-quality standards

Ensure our customers receive an excellent customer experience

Assist with delivery of installation documentation in a timely manner

Support tool management and proper maintenance of install vehicle

 

Qualifications

You'll thrive in this position if you're a good communicator and show leadership potential. Great communicators are honest and willing to ask for help when they need it. Leaders take pride in doing excellent work, anticipate the next steps of a job to reduce downtime, and are looking for ways to improve processes.

 

On top of these characteristics, we're looking for someone with:

Experience working in construction, we train entry-level solar installers

Basic understanding of solar PV installation is preferred, but we provide top-notch training for the right people

Understanding of tool use and familiarity with construction best practices

Comfortably able to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, work with tools, and work on rooftops in varying temperatures

Have transportation to work along the front range, and a clean driving record

Have a basic set of hand tools

 

You don't need to have these, but you'll be even more prepared for the job if you have:

NABCEP certification

OSHA-10 safety certification

 

Compensation and Terms

This position is full-time, based in Denver or Boulder. Must be able to commute to either location

Hourly rate dependent on experience with pay increase eligibility after 6 months and ample career growth and promotion opportunities

Volunteer overtime opportunities

2 weeks paid time off and 10 floating holidays (accrues immediately)

Health, dental and vision within first 30 days

Up to $3,000/year tuition coverage for electrical trade school to earn license

Apprenticeship starts day one and counts toward your electrical license
