Sr. Solar Technician

Inland Empire CA

Overview

The Sr. Solar Technician is responsible for performing site surveys on upcoming projects, inspections, permit submittal and retrieval, assisting with retail payment coordination and interfacing with building departments.

 

Responsibilities

Perform site audits on sold systems when applicable (take measurements, photographs, notes, and shading measurements of project sites)

Responsible for scheduling, preparing (completing pre-inspection QA/QC checklist), and completing site inspections

Prepare, submit, and retrieve permit packages in accordance with jurisdictional requirements

Communicate with jurisdictions, the Construction Supervisor, and Engineering Team members to resolve any redline issues

Meet with customers and discuss project details in order to accommodate their needs

Schedule appointments to meet customers and obtain customer signatures, final paperwork signoff and payment collection.

Organize all completed paperwork, and process payments in a compliant, secure manner

Prepare project documentation for construction teams

Utilize software systems to record progress of various tasks

Installing of software updates on system components

Programming communication and performance parameters on inverters and batteries

Troubleshooting wiring and issues that may arise

Completion of verification reports by taking verification photos, uploading package to share folders

 

Qualifications

Ability to drive a vehicle during the normal course of business. Must maintain a clean driving record with the ability to pass a driving background check. Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.
