DNV GL is seeking an intelligent and collaborative person to join the Offshore Wind North America team. The Offshore Wind Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Offshore Wind North America team in a variety of project development and due diligence projects for the offshore wind industry that contribute to lowering the cost of offshore wind in North America.
The Offshore Wind Analyst will join the multi-disciplinary Project Development and Engineering Department, which is part of DNV GL’s Renewables Advisory service line, and contains nearly 100 scientists, engineers, and environmental professionals. The dynamic working environment will require employees who are easily adaptable and have the experience and technical skillset to provide services across a wide range of active contracts, including those in the development, permitting, construction, and operational phases of project lifecycles. The offshore wind industry in the U.S. is a rapidly developing and evolving market, DNV GL is looking for an enthusiastic individual who can self-organize, is willing to be creative and take on new challenges in order to support and build DNV GL’s offshore wind business.
The Offshore Wind Analyst may engage in a variety of tasks based on their skills, including: conceptual design studies, offshore wind constraints analyses, site suitability, offshore wind permitting and technical studies support, O&M analysis, constructibility analyses, cost studies, and decommissioning studies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Tasks May Include
Supporting the offshore wind team in delivering quality work to our customers, including RFP responses, construction and operation plans, other project development plans and permits;
Support and self-perform desktop analyses to support offshore wind project development;
Collaborate across sections within Renewables Advisory on offshore wind projects;
Writing technical reports and communicating results internally and to customers;
Managing multiple concurrent jobs and tasks;
Assist in the development of proposals and bids; and
Ensuring the successful completion of assigned tasks per the agreed upon scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with an average GPA above 3.00 is required, graduate degree preferred;
General knowledge and interest in the offshore wind industry in the U.S.
Demonstrated research and classroom experience in offshore wind is preferred
Track record of offshore wind publications (published or in the publishing process), or offshore wind conference presentations/posters is preferred
General knowledge and interest in offshore wind project development, design, and construction activities;
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills;
Excellent analytical and reporting abilities;
Excellent attention to detail;
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Proficiency with MS Office products.
Travel domestically up to 10%
