Eversource Energy is seeking a Director, Off-Shore Wind Execution.
Role and Scope of Position:
Responsible for directing the Off-Shore Wind (OSW) Project Management organization and executing the capital program for infrastructure projects associated with OSW generation being introduced into the Grid, asset condition, generation interconnections, cable installations and substation construction.
Direct the strategy, planning, scheduling, coordination, and execution of OSW projects for Eversource. This role will direct and oversee all activities related to OSW projects and for interfacing with all project stakeholders, including our JV Service Provider partner, Engineering, Business Development, Asset Management, Stores, Substation Construction, Convex, Test Personnel, Contract Administration, Legal, Real Estate, Accounting etc.
Overall responsibility for OSW projects within a matrix team environment. Provides the leadership, direction, training, coordination, and effective communication to initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control, and close projects in a safe, efficient, economical, risk-balanced approach to achieve short- and long-range goals.
Leadership of the Project Management Organization
Supports the OSW strategic planning process, including a lead coordination role with Eversource OSW matrixed project team.
Responsible for developing and executing the OSW capital plan.
Accountable for the performance and results of the OSW project to ensure Eversource is delivering projects safely within budget, scope, on schedule, quality, in compliance with siting/permitting regulations, and meeting stakeholder commitments.
Co-develops, reviews and assesses monthly project status reports for consistency with the budget and schedule goals of the Capital Plan and ensures risks have been identified and are being managed throughout the project life cycle. Provides recommendations to OSW matrixed team PMs for improvement.
Collaborates with partnering company departments and supporting functional areas, such as Engineering, Siting, Environmental Permitting, Purchasing, Operations, and External Affairs as well as OSW JV Service Provider to ensure that required project deliverables and services are completed on time and fully meet project needs.
Develops and sets annual expectations for employees that align with corporate goals and works with employees in the preparation of individualized personal development plans.
Shareholder Project Reporting/Compliance
Ensures timely and accurate project reporting with appropriate backup documentation on cost and schedule changes.
Liaison between ES OSW Project Team , JV Service Provider Wind Developers assists in data gathering, resource management and strategy development. Ensures consistency of budget format across all venues

Previous experience as a manager and/or working in team environments as well as supporting process improvements and group facilitation
Excellent understanding of corporate strategies and initiatives
Ability to monitor and analyze cost and scheduling information, provide forecasts, make recommendations, and communicate effectively at all levels
Demonstrated ability to influence group culture
Demonstrated high competence in past assignments
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Finance, Business or related degree or equivalent experience
MBA or equivalent education highly desirable
Minimum of twelve (12) years of related experience
Experience as a Project Manager managing large complex multi-year projects is desirable
Licenses & Certifications:
PMP certification preferred
Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
