Louis Berger is seeking an environmental scientist to support environmental/planning related projects. This is a part-time, hourly position. Start date is in mid-October 2017.
Primary project responsibilities will encompass technical support for planning and environmental compliance tasks including natural resource surveys/studies, prepare survey reports, permit applications, mitigation design and monitoring, US Fish and Wildlife coordination, and state and natural heritage coordination.
Work schedule will be on an as needed basis. This position will be filled as soon as a qualified applicant is identified.
The successful candidate will have the following:
Bachelors of Science in environmental science, botany, soil, wildlife science or other natural resource field;
Strong written and verbal communication skills;
Experience obtaining environmental permits/approvals/authorizations including the Army Corps of Engineers and state and local agencies;
Attention and commitment to timely completion of high-quality work;
Must be willing and physically able to travel and perform field work associated with various site conditions;
Current eligibility to work in the U.S.
A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
