The geologist and environmental scientist assists department managers and/or project managers with various tasks. Responsibilities include assisting with environmental site assessments, field studies, development of soil and groundwater sampling plans, data analysis, GIS analysis, site remediation, and preparation of environmental reports, permits, and assessments. The position works under close supervision; receives specific and detailed instruction as to required tasks and results expected. Other duties as assigned by manager.
Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Geology, Environmental Science or related field.
Zero to three years of professional related experience.
A master's degree may substitute for one year of experience.
Previous consulting experience, including site assessment experience, such as Phase I, Phase II, and remediation is preferred.
Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
OSHA HAZWOPER trained and knowledge of CERCLA and RCRA is preferred.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e. without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located.
