SAIC is looking for a fulltime, NEPA Specialist at Hill AFB, Utah. The NEPA Specialist will provide NEPA support to the Air Force, Product Support (PS) Branch in development of national environmental policy for the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) weapon system. Specifically, the NEPA Specialist will support the GBSD program as follows:
Execute projects commiserate with an experienced NEPA Specialist position;
Review (and effectively communicate) the requirements associated with Executive Order 12114, 32 CFR 989 and 40 CFR 1500-1508 National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) to Air Force Global Strike Command and the GBSD program office;
Work with multiple Air Force agencies to develop environmental permitting solutions for the GBSD weapon system;
Assist in the development of NEPA and Environmental Analysis Impact Process (EIAP) documents in support of the GBSD weapon system;
Develop Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health (ESOH) programs in support of GBSD, across six different states, and an international test range;
Prepare, review, present and coordinate environmental documents and data necessary to implement the GBSD weapon system;
Provide regulatory and permitting guidance for GBSD stakeholders, both external and internal.
Clearance level: Active DoD Secret
Bachelors (STEM) and Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the Environmental Regulatory Compliance field, with substantial experience with NEPA projects.
Ability to work independently and effectively with Air Force customers, contractors and civilian employees at all levels across the business, under imposed deadlines.
Good interpersonal skills.
Ability to develop and conduct presentations.
Strong qualitative and quantitative verbal and written communications skills.
Good analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills; able to develop solutions to complex problems.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Masters-level certification in NEPA
Some experience in CEQA
