Loureiro Engineering Associates has an immediate opening for an entry-level Environmental Field Technician for our Plainville, CT office.
This position is primarily field work with key responsibilities including: performing various environmental sampling activities to include operation of direct push drill rigs, installation of groundwater monitoring wells; soil and groundwater sampling; soil vapor sampling; data collection; operation and maintenance of remediation systems.
High School Diploma;
0-2 years’ experience in site investigation, remediation, construction or other outdoor fieldwork.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Prior field sampling with direct push drill rig is a plus;
Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions;
Prior health and safety training and drilling experience;
Mechanically inclined and self-motivated with demonstrated reliability, maintain a strong work ethic, exhibit time management skills, be organized and detail oriented, and perform work accurately individually and in a team environment;
Valid driver’s license and be able to travel throughout Connecticut and occasionally other New England States
40-hour HAZWOPER Certification is a plus;
A positive attitude and professionalism at all times are required.
