Enviromental Engineer or Hydrogeologist

Concord NH

Sanborn Head is seeking an environmental engineer or hydrogeologist to join our Concord, NH office. Interested candidates should have 0-3 years of experience and possess a BS Degree (MS preferred) in civil or environmental engineering or hydrogeology, with the ability to demonstrate a strong record of academic achievement or professional experience in relevant areas such as contaminated site investigations, remediation, and/or preparation of plans and specifications. Familiarity with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, databases, and various air/water modeling skills are beneficial. Excellent verbal communication, analytical, and technical writing skills are essential. A strong attention to detail is required.

 

Examples of the position responsibilities include:

Perform environmental investigations at sites with soil, groundwater, and soil vapor contamination;

Collect, interpret, and analyze various types of field data;

Perform environmental due diligence assessments;

Conduct groundwater fate and transport calculations and computer modeling exercises;

Assist project managers in developing recommendations for environmental strategies, remedial alternatives, and remediation designs;

Design and implement remediation systems;

Prepare technical reports, permit applications, and bid documents; and

Engage in industrial compliance projects.
