TRC is seeking a highly motivated Environmental Engineer/Project Manager to work in one of TRC’s Seattle Area, Washington offices. The Project Manager is client-focused, works with stakeholders to understand project needs, and manages project teams to deliver services to meet those requirements. The project manager is responsible for networking with clients to identify and define projects, developing and negotiating proposals, building teams of technical staff and sub-consultants to execute work, maintaining quality and risk management processes to keep work on track, and delivering according to scope, schedule, and budget.
Our Environmental Engineers/Project Managers:
Lead project teams through site investigation, development of remedial strategy, and attainment of closure requirements under Washington Department of Ecology (Ecology), Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (ODEQ), and other State/federal programs.
Lead remediation projects from design through implementation.
Manage remediation programs from pilot study, assessment, conceptual design to design implementation.
Manage storm water compliance programs, including design and installation of Best Management Practices (BMPs).
Design, install, and operate waste water treatment systems.
Interpret and implement environmental regulations, including RCRA and CERCLA.
Oversee preparation of technical correspondence, project proposals, technical reports, work plans, and project specifications including cost estimates and budgets.
Perform regular client engagement resulting in continually expanding client trust relationships.
Develop proposals resulting in the award of new work with clients.
Provide highly-competent technical leadership resulting in successful project delivery.
Perform project management leading teams to meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
Deliver meticulous project financial management resulting in consistently profitable work.
Build and strengthen team and staff of project scientists and engineers through recruiting, engagement and mentorship.
Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering from an accredited university
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of Washington
Minimum ten (10) years of experience in environmental consulting focused on site remediation
Groundwater remediation consulting and design project experience in Washington
Storm water compliance experience related to industrial and construction permits
Project management experience for remediation projects in Washington
In addition to the basic qualifications the qualifications below are highly desired but not required:
Master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering from an accredited university
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of Oregon
Waste water treatment system design experience
Experience negotiating with Ecology on remediation and compliance projects
Storm water BMP and waste water treatment system experience
