Monitor and audit company operations on a regular basis to ensure compliance with local, state and federal environmental regulations, which may include CERCLA, CAA, and RCRA. Maintain required environmental operation procedures to ensure company and employee awareness, comprehension, and adherence to approved health, safety, and environmental practices. Maintain a program for issuing empty and receiving full hazardous waste containers. Coordinate the packaging, labeling, and transpiration of hazardous waste to an approved treatment, storage, or disposal facility. Prepare and submit the necessary government paperwork.
-6+ months of experience with environmental work, including internships or volunteering
-Ability to prepare and submit government paperwork
-Ability to pay strict attention to detail
-BA or BS degree in Science, Engineering, or Environmental Policy
-Experience with conducting research drafting reports, manuals, and preparing summaries
-Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
-Experience in working with federal agencies either directly or indirectly
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
