Environmental Project Manager

Kleinfelder is seeking an Environmental Project Manager to join us in our Hanover, MD office as an integral member of our environmental remediation team.

This position will primarily entail performing project management responsibilities on oil & gas environmental projects for a premier oil and gas energy client. These projects offer a wide range of technical, regulatory and business challenges requiring the candidate to be knowledgeable and results oriented. Projects will range from baseline environmental assessments to advanced long-term remediation systems.

This Project Management position will focus on delivery of project commitments to existing clients. The ideal candidate will have 6-12 years of experience in environmental consulting (minimum 2 years in project management position); a thorough knowledge of Maryland regulations (VA, DC, PA, DE a plus); experience with oil/gas terminal assessment and remediation a significant plus; the ability to provide technical support on complex projects; and, a proven successful track record managing people and effectively interacting with clients and regulators.

As a manager, this position requires a focused, positive, energetic attitude and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, regulators, and staff.

Strong technical skills in assessment and remediation of petrochemical facilities is expected. Experience with light-non-aqueous-phase-liquid recovery/remediation preferred. Professional Licensure (PG or PE) is a plus.

A BS from an accredited college/university is required (MS preferred) with a major in engineering, geology, or science.
