We are looking for a motivated engineer/scientist to join our environmental compliance team. This position will be based out of central New York, but will support projects across the country. Some examples of potential project areas include waste management, stormwater permitting and management, air quality, oil spill prevention & preparedness, and overall environmental health & safety. Duties will include field work (site inspections, compliance audits, data gathering), regulatory review and investigation, environmental compliance program development (e.g., plans, permits, training, assessments), data management (spreadsheet and database), environmental literature searches/reviews, and report writing.
BS or BA, with a strong background in chemistry, biology, geology, environmental science/studies, or related field.
2+ years’ experience in environmental consulting.
Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, Access and database software preferred. GIS experience a plus.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
40-hour OSHA training is a plus.
Must be able to work independently, communicate effectively and balance multiple projects and tasks.
