What will you be doing at Woodard & Curran?
We are seeking an environmental field technician to add to our Oil and Gas Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual beginning their career in the environmental industry. The position will focus on services and support in the field including environmental monitoring and site investigations, media sample collection (e.g., water, air, gas, soil), spill and remedial response activities all of which will include electronic data collection and reporting. There will be regional travel and use of company vehicle(s).
What will you need to succeed?
BS or BA, with a degree in geology, environmental science, or a related degree.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform field work in rough terrain.
Willingness and ability to work in the field for extended periods.
Willingness to travel and ability to operate independently.
0 to 3 years’ experience in environmental consulting.
Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, with Access and database software preferred; GIS experience a plus.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training is a plus.
Must be able to work independently, communicate effectively and balance multiple projects and tasks.
