The New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Commission (NEIWPCC) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented candidate to serve as a project manager to coordinate the Massachusetts Wastewater Certification and Renewal Program for new wastewater operator licensees and coordinate the Massachusetts Title 5 Certification Renewal and Training Program. Will also coordinate NEIWPCC’s Regional Wastewater Certification and Onsite Wastewater Workgroups and participate in the Association of Boards of Certification (ABC) and NYWEA’s Governance council. Serve as clearinghouse for information on and prepare workgroup updates for Executive Committee and Commission meetings. Serve as project manager for conferences and trainings such as soil evaluator training and Regional Wastewater Onsite Conference.
The successful candidate will hold a master’s degree in environmental studies, natural science, public health, earth science, biology, chemistry, engineering or related field. Familiarity with licensing and renewal requirements contained in 257 CMR 2.00: Certification of Operators of Wastewater Treatment Facilities and with certification and renewal requirements for System Inspectors and Soil Evaluators contained in 310 CMR 15.00: The State Environmental Code - Title 5 required. Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively and establish professional credibility with wastewater operators, scientists, and engineers. Candidate must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and have demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
