ABOUT THE JOB
We are recruiting for Assistant Air Quality Specialists and/or Air Quality Specialists to fill multiple vacancies in various units within our Planning, Rule Development, and Area Sources (PRDAS) division at the South Coast AQMD, as listed below. From this recruitment process, we expect to establish an eligible list from which current and future vacancies requiring a similar background may be filled, during the 6-12 month life of the list.
Responsible for developing proposals for new and amended rules that regulate criteria pollutant and toxic air contaminant emissions, and administrative rules.
AB2588 Toxics Hot Spots
Responsible for the preparation and review of air toxics inventory reports, health risk assessments including air dispersion modeling, and risk reduction plans for industrial facilities.
Annual Emissions Reporting
Responsible for developing emission inventories for both point and area sources through the AER Program for both criteria and toxic pollutants and conducting audits of annual emission reports submitted by industries through the AER program.
