Golder has a new opportunity for an Environmental Specialist to join our Central Operations team on a full-time position at our St. Louis, MO or Houston, TX office.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Performing and preparing technical reports for EHS audits and environmental field investigations, including documentation field investigative procedures, data management and interpretation, and development of graphical and tabular presentation of data.
Providing EHS compliance program support for industrial clients including developing procedures and permits, preparing and submitting periodic regulatory reports and plans, and preparing and conducting EHS training programs.
Working on Phase 1 environmental site assessments.
Working on hydrogeology and remediation including subsurface investigations which including drilling, geologic/geotechnical logging and environmental media sampling.
Performing engineering calculations, cost estimates, data validation, and report preparation.
Bachelor’s degree in Health & Safety, Evironmental Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
2-6 years relevant experience in consulting practice or in a regulatory or private industry setting.
Knowledge of and experience with reviewing and applying federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
Experience performing Phase I environmental site assessments and environmental sampling.
Master’s Degree in Health & Safety, Evironmental Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
Certification in field, or progress toward certification, including PE, ASP, CSP, CHMM, CIH, or equivalent, depending on qualifications.
Experience developing and auditing EHS programs in industrial settings.
