We have an immediate opening and excellent professional growth opportunity for an Environmental Planner/Scientist to join our team. The Environmental Planner/Scientist will:
Manage and provide quality assurance/quality control of CEQA and NEPA documents
Conduct field work necessary to complete planning technical studies, environmental documents, and policy documents for specific projects as assigned
Manage and complete assignments within parameters of job timeframes and budget
Present at client and/or city meetings/hearings pertaining to existing and potential projects
Consult with federal, state and local regulatory agencies on scope and impact of projects
Lead and participate in company outreach/marketing and business development efforts
Provide staff mentoring and development
Experience and Skills:
Qualified candidates will have completed a BA/BS degree or higher (preferably in environmental science, urban planning or a related discipline). The successful candidate will possess 3+ years of related experience with demonstrated experience in environmental impact assessment, land use planning, land development/entitlements, and/or urban design. Experience with a role in a private environmental consulting firm, including schedule and budget management skills is preferred. Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills are required. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a large multi-disciplinary team are also required. The candidate will have a willingness to travel as projects required.
