We currently have a unique opportunity for a mid- level consulting practitioner to join our growing environmental planning and permitting service line nationally. Encouraged to apply are candidates with recognized expertise in water resources, natural sciences, planning, or regulatory experience with project delivery and client management, business and proposal development skills and who enjoy working collaboratively in teams, mentoring staff, organizing and communicating with teams to implement business plans. Experience managing Clean Water Act (402, 404, 401, 316) permitting; oversight of cultural, air, water quality, water rights, land use planning, economic analysis, and supporting technical studies are important. Particularly important is experience managing NEPA/SEPA (EA, EIS) compliance for large water supply and wastewater infrastructure, mining and resource management projects, and water reuse, water quality management, and sustainability.

Be a critical player in our growing environmental planning and permitting services and capabilities with a focus federal and state permitting, siting and regulatory review, and environmental assessment and documentation on water resources, water supply and wastewater, mining, and industrial infrastructure projects within the US for diverse set of existing and new municipal and private sector clients;
Provide technical and project management on a wide variety of environmental planning and permitting projects;
Experience and ability to manage projects and programs, in diverse settings and with changing requirements;
Desire to thrive in a fast-paced, highly-collaborative team atmosphere; and
Desired Skills and Experience:
A minimum 10 years’ experience in consulting and engineering services in the water resources, environmental and civil sector with progressive responsibilities of project management and project delivery;
Excellent communication skills and experience in technical deliverables;
Experience in successfully managing projects and delivering on time and on budget while meeting or exceeding client expectations;
Ability to motivate others and be part of project teams to implement plans for projects and client pursuits;
Demonstrated experience in participating in field surveys for terrestrial and aquatic systems and ability to teach and lead field teams;
Experience in using and leading GIS analyses for natural and water resources assessments;
Proficient in analyzing environmental and natural resource datasets for technical reports and permitting applications and documentation;
B.S. engineering, planning, environmental science, or related discipline engineering required; M.S. degree and professional certifications in field preferred;
Ability to represent the company with key clients and teaming partners for business and contract matters;
Project experience working with Section 404 of the Clean Water Act and Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act including coordination with regulatory agencies; project experience preparing NEPA documentation under NEPA and state equivalent SEPA programs; working knowledge of environmental regulations such as Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, Section 7 of the Endangered Species Act, and Environmental Justice requirements of Executive Order 12898;
Demonstrated experience working with federal agencies such as U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), NOAA Fisheries, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Reclamation, Bureau of Land Management, etc.;
