As an Environmental Analyst you prepare project-related environmental documentation in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). You will use your analytical strengths while ensuring overall compliance with plans, specifications, procedures, codes, and standards. Specifically, you will:
prepare project related environmental documentation
conduct wetland delineations
conduct stream evaluations
develop wetland/stream mitigation plans and mitigation monitoring
participate in public information meetings and public hearings
develop 401/404 permit applications.
You will take responsibility for managing multiple projects (including budget and schedule) and use your strength as a communicator during interactions with clients, regulatory agencies, and fellow project team members. You are flexible and adaptable to working independently and as part of a team, in the office and in the field.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
Organized for efficiency and motivated to work independently
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Systems and software proficiency, including Microsoft Office and ArcMap GIS
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Natural Resources or related field.
5-8 years of specific experience conducting wetland delineations, developing stream and wetland mitigation plans, and NEPA compliance for infrastructure projects
38-Hour U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Wetland Delineation Training
Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) NEPA certification
