Outdoor/Environmental Educators

Nature's Classroom offers positions for Outdoor/Environmental Educators in the spring and fall.

 

Our program operates during the school-year; we offer seasonal employment in the spring and fall. We are typically hiring during winter and summer months, but please reach out to us anytime regarding future employment.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

Group leader and teacher in the 5-day seasonal residential program

Develop and present classes in a variety of academic areas of your choosing

Supervise middle school aged students in field experiences

Facilitate students in team building initiatives and low ropes courses

Facilitate high ropes courses at our Hancock, New Hampshire location

Evening activities and mealtime duties

 

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree (Paid internships are available for people who do not yet hold a bachelor's degree)

Strong commitment to educate children

Energetic, dedicated & able to become involved in all aspects of the program

Special skills (music, singing, storytelling) helpful

Experience working with children preferred

 

Benefits:

Weekly salaries range between $320 and $400 based on education and related experience

Food and lodging 7 days a week for the length of contract

No weekend or overnight duties

Educate in an informal setting at a 1 to 12 ratio

Dates of Employment vary by site, but are roughly:

 

Fall: September through November

Spring: March through mid-June
