The Program Director is WEAN’s lead strategist for policy advocacy campaign design and execution. This role shapes how we understand the environmental advocacy landscape— carrying priority issues forward, analyzing data, identifying policy and enforcement gaps, and building mission-aligned campaigns that move people to act. A qualified applicant will have demonstrated expertise in environmental science, environmental policy, or land use planning; strong analytical and written communication skills; and experience designing and executing public engagement campaigns or civic education programs. Familiarity with Washington State environmental law and/or land use policy and the ability to work independently in a small-organization setting are essential.
