The TRCP’s Montana Field Representative works within the state of Montana to advance TRCP’s mission to guarantee all Americans quality places to hunt and fish. This individual collaborates closely with partner organizations, community leaders, and decision makers to further TRCP’s policy priorities in the state, including expanding access on public lands; conserving migration corridors, crucial habitats, special places, and backcountry public lands; and supporting state and federal programs that enhance public access and habitat conservation. Working as a member of the Center for Public Lands field team, this individual works closely with the Vice President of Western Conservation and field representatives from other Western states to further the conservation mission of the organization and to foster knowledge transfer.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Serve as the organization’s representative within the state of Montana on conservation and access policies affecting hunters and anglers.

· Work cooperatively with hunting and angling organizations to build and advance a unified voice for the conservation of our fish and wildlife resources and outdoor heritage.

· Organize support for conservation priorities from decision-makers in Montana, including county commissioners, mayors, members of Congress, the Governor, and other influential actors.

· Engage grassroots hunters and anglers and work cooperatively with organized sporting groups to lead conservation campaigns on BLM, national forest lands, and wildlife refuges to conserve migration corridors and intact habitats, support wildlife highway crossings, balance energy development, and enhance public access.

· Build and deliver coalition-driven policy recommendations to decision makers from the sporting, conservation, and business communities.

· Create and distribute state-specific education materials that highlight the social, economic, and biological benefits of public lands within Montana.

· When possible, serve on relevant federal, state, or local advisory groups/commissions/boards.

· Work with the TRCP’s communications staff to generate strategically appropriate press coverage and to communicate with our members and the public electronically.

· Work with the VP of Western Conservation and Director of Development to ensure financial support for the Center and its activities, including tracking of grant deliverables and the development of grant reports.

Minimum Requirements:

· A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 2+ years of experience in natural resource issues.

Director, Research and Policy Analyst

Environmental Policy Manager

The Environmental Policy Manager will be responsible for identifying, reviewing, verifying, and maintaining relevant environmental rules and regulations for Disney Cruise Line Shipboard and Island Operations. This role will read & interpret International Maritime Organization MARPOL Regulations and other applicable shipping rules, BMA bulletins, MEPC updates, and monitor the expansion of protected marine areas where the DCL fleet operates. This position will manage the IMO Carbon Intensity Index Regulation and work with our shipboard partners, our online reporting platform, and our verifier to complete the process yearly for our fleet. In addition, the Environmental Policy Manager will review and monitor regulations in any new geographical areas in accordance with our planned itineraries. The position requires the ability to take complex inputs and diverse perspectives to provide guidance to senior management around Environmental Compliance, Policy, and potential changes in operation.

You Will:

Provide vessel and shore leadership the necessary information and guidance to meet international (e.g.,MARPOL), national (Port State and Flag state), regional/local (e.g. Alaska, European Union, ports, etc.), and company policies.

Develop and assist in implementing comprehensive environmental policies for Disney Cruise Line, to ensure compliance with all rules, laws, class societies and governing bodies.

Conducts waste vendor due diligence inspections as required.

Support shipboard and island audits for compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company procedures.

Mange the review and quality control of the OceanGuardian environmental compliance software. This includes the inputting of company environmental policies as well as review and actioning of fleet feedback.

Principal contact with global port agents and local authorities for gathering environmental compliance requirements for future itineraries.

Interpret all emerging environmental laws and regulations and develop policies that verify Disney Cruise Line® is prepared to comply with them.

Assist with development and implementation of SMS policies and procedures.

Climate Policy & Implementation Strategist

The Adams County Community & Economic Development (CED) Department, based in Brighton, CO, is looking for a Climate Policy & Implementation Strategist to guide policy, identify strategies, and implement programs that address impacts climate change and greenhouse gas emissions, particularly within the context of the built environment.

We are seeking an individual to coordinate and lead activities associated with climate policy, program development, and strategy implementation that is anchored in environmental justice principles. Noise and Environmental Specialist

General Description:

Ensures ongoing compliance with local and State of California Rules & Regulations for Noise and Environmental.   Monitor aircraft compliance and noise complaints using the Airport’s Flight Tracking System. Coordinate with field personnel and other departments to gather data for required recordkeeping activities.

Grants and Project Manager

The Grants and Project Manager position connects the District’s programs by supporting the administrative, technical, and outreach staff with deliverable management, grant reporting, budget management, and partnership building. Policy Matters

Responsibilities include equipping students with the required skill set, facilitating classroom discussions, assessing student performance and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession. Other main responsibilities include the following:

Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

Qualifications:

Preferred: MS/doctorate in Ecology, Conservation Biology, or Environmental Science. Minimum: Masters in any field with 18 graduate credit hours Ecology, Conservation Biology, or Environmental Science

Associate Attorney, Rocky Mountain Region

The Associate Attorney position is a three-year position with the possibility of an additional three years as a Senior Associate Attorney. Earthjustice’s Associate Attorney program is designed to help attorneys who are in the early stages of their careers develop into thoughtful, professional, and effective advocates skilled in the various phases of public interest litigation and administrative advocacy. The level of duties and responsibilities for an Associate Attorney will vary depending on experience. Many Associates have gone on to other positions within Earthjustice and with other public interest organizations.

The Rocky Mountain office is located in the heart of downtown Denver near the federal and state courthouses, public transportation, and the vibrant LoDo, RiNo and Capitol Hill neighborhoods. We are a bike-friendly office, located near many of Denver’s bike paths. The office employs a hybrid approach where staff are in the office a minimum of one day per week and as necessary depending on case and office needs and may otherwise choose whether to work remotely or in the office. The position will start in September 2024 or January 2025, and applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Responsibilities:

Associate attorneys perform a range of work, in partnership with senior attorneys and professional staff, to investigate, develop, and pursue advocacy before administrative agencies and litigation in court.

As associate attorneys gain experience, their dockets may include cases for which they have primary responsibility under the supervision of a senior attorney in addition to matters on which they work in a supporting role with senior attorneys. Specific responsibilities include:

Working closely with Earthjustice attorneys, scientists, professional staff, and clients to build cases and support policies that serve a diverse set of clients.
Participating in the full range of tasks involved in administrative advocacy and litigation, including factual investigation, legal research and analysis, memo writing, negotiation, discovery, briefing, and oral advocacy.
Interact with clients and work with experts to develop a clear understanding of the facts involved in each case.
Participating in cultivating relationships with new clients, allies, and coalition partners.
Integrating communications and legislative advocacy into litigation and other legal strategies.
Supporting efforts to ensure a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work culture that encourages and celebrates differences.
Representing Earthjustice at remote and in-person meetings with clients, partners, co-counsel, and experts.
Developing skills required to serve as a spokesperson to media.
Participating in hiring and supervision of student law clerks and externs.

Required Qualifications:

Law school graduate with 1-5 years of legal experience and admitted to, or willing and eligible to apply for admission (including taking the bar exam, if necessary) to, the Colorado State Bar.
Excellent research, analytic, writing, and communication skills.
Strong and demonstrated work ethic, good judgment, initiative, and creativity.
Strong desire to fight for the right of all to a healthy environment.
Ability to work well independently and in a team-oriented atmosphere.
Commitment to serving the public interest and a passion for the role of Earthjustice and its mission.
