Senior Solar Energy Consultant

Energy Consultant Position Description:

As a consultant, you are on the frontlines of client acquisition and helping homeowners get rid of their expensive, polluting utility power and transitioning them to a cheaper and cleaner solar energy courtesy of Green Planet Solution. Your primary day-to-day activities include lead generation through cold calling, sales booths, d2d canvassing as well as closing pre-set appointments both in-home & virtually!


  • $25 an hour for appointments
    Uncapped commission per sale ($1500-$4000 per install)
    Quarterly bonuses are available
    Monthly bonuses are available
    Weekly cash rewards
    No Benefits

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven experience using Solution Selling and problem-solving
    Complete our Energy Certification training course
    Confidence in overcoming multiple customer objections
    Experience selling products in markets/industries offering multiple financing options
    Ability to work well with inside support staff including the Sales Coordinators
    Strong computer skills, including strength in virtual calls, google, etc...
    Ability to generate referrals from positive customer experiences and contact database
    Ability to work hours that are convenient for homeowners (i.e. nights/weekends)
    Must work well independently and possess a self-starter mentality
    Strong organization skills and ability to prioritize
    Ability to thrive in a high intensity, dynamic work environment
    Excellent communication skills both oral and written
    Present well, demonstrated success with online sales a major plus
    Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management tools, or CRMs
    Strong interpersonal skills
    Tenacity and perseverance

Preferred (Not-Required) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Successful experience selling in a premium home improvement market representing high-end, premium products sold virtually and or across the kitchen table (solar, HVAC, Windows, other)
    Closing expertise in premium price product by selling value
    Sales & Marketing Experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
    BA/BS in Economics, Communications, Marketing, Business, environment or equivalent experience
    Eligible to work in the United States

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
