Sustainability Data Coordinator

The JHU Office of Climate and Sustainability (OCS) is seeking strong candidates to fill the position of Sustainability Data Coordinator. From strategic planning to campus operations, technical guidance, behavior change education, and more, the Office of Climate and Sustainability’s work spans the physical, academic, and cultural environments of JHU. Our office aims to empower students, faculty, and staff to meaningfully contribute to a more just and sustainable world. The Sustainability Data Coordinator will support the work of the Sustainability Manager, Climate Action, and the Sustainability Data Analyst in working across administrative and academic units, as well as with students and external stakeholders to advance the university’s sustainability objectives.

The Sustainability Data Coordinator reports to the Sustainability Manager, Climate Action and the Sustainability Data Analyst and is responsible for providing analytic support on several projects during the Spring and Summer 2026 semesters, including supporting the collection of metrics for the Sustainability Plan. This individual supports the Office’s efforts pertaining to the collection, analysis, management, and communication of data and metrics, especially in areas such as climate action, built and natural environment, responsible consumption, and mobility and transportation.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

Collect and ensure the quality and integrity of data from multiple university partners and sources [e.g. energy, water, materials, food, transportation, waste]
Support the collection and analysis of metrics to measure the success of sustainability programs across the University
Develop data visualizations and communications necessary for stakeholder transparency, including web-based dashboards, charts or infographics
Provide flexible support to the Sustainability Manager, Operations and Analytics, and the Sustainability Data Analyst on an as-needed basis

Special Knowledge Skills & Abilities

Experience with data management, analytics, and statistical programming languages.
Experience using Python in a professional setting.
Experience using data visualization tools (i.e. Tableau, Power BI or similar)
Highly proficient in MS Office software with advanced knowledge of Excel.

Lead Field Instructor

Description:

Renowned for its accredited researched-based undergraduate field programs, Wildlands Studies seeks candidates holding an MSc or PhD to be the Lead Instructor for new academic field programs. Students consistently report that their Wildlands Studies experience added depth and meaning to their on-campus classes and “changed their lives”. Wildlands Studies instructors enhance their own credentials with unique opportunities to teach in the field while engaging students in active research.

The Lead Instructor will direct students on an academically rigorous, wilderness-based six-week field study to explore habitats and cultures of specific USA-based and international locales. We are specifically seeking new international locations that will attract students and cover a wide variety of topics and terrain within our mission. We specifically welcome proposals for new locales in the Pacific Realm (Fiji, Tonga), Southeast Asia, Norway/Arctic Mountain regions, and South America (Brazil, Uruguay). Students earn 5-15 quarter credits for three field classes covering Environmental Studies, Field Research Practices, and Environment and Culture. Lead Instructor is responsible for on-going seminars, lectures, instruction, guided field work and field methods, and assessment of all student work, as well as group dynamics and the overall well-being of participants. Requirements:

Knowledge and experience of field study location required. Applicants must have Masters degree in hand; PhD Candidates and/or completed PhD preferred. A qualified Lead Instructor will have experience leading field study programs and teaching at the undergraduate level, specifically upper division environmental studies classes; a good sense of humor, flexibility, patience, and understanding; be a physically fit experienced outdoorsperson capable of leading students on day hikes and multi-day overnight backpacking trips; a capable and skilled group facilitator able to spend 24 hours per day, 7 days per week with up to 16 students aged 18-23 for the duration of the program managing associated interpersonal dynamics; an accomplished logistical planner capable of managing the overarching and day-to-day logistics, program finances and communications; certified in First Aid and CPR (preferably WFR) and able to competently and confidently manage medical emergencies and other medical situations should they arise. We require our program staff to be able to easily transport students in vehicles. Individuals must have a clean driving record, manual transmission experience, knowledge and competence driving in international locations and, if needed, the ability to drive a right-hand drive vehicle on the left side of the road. This role independently leads building energy modeling, performance analysis, and decarbonization strategies across complex project types, supporting both new construction and existing building optimization.

Senior Energy Engineers guide clients toward high-performance, sustainable solutions while mentoring junior engineers, supporting integrated design teams, and advancing the firm’s technical excellence.

Responsibilities

Lead building energy modeling, audits, and technical studies for new construction and existing buildings
Develop and evaluate decarbonization, electrification, and energy efficiency strategies across diverse market sectors
Perform and review complex analytical work to ensure accuracy and alignment with project objectives
Serve as technical lead on energy-focused projects, providing guidance to clients and internal teams
Present findings and recommendations through reports, presentations, and project meetings
Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities and contributing to proposals and interviews

Under the supervision of the Director, the Climate and Sustainability Program Coordinator manages key programs and activities and contributes to the operation of Emory’s Office of Sustainability Initiatives (OSI) with a focus on student engagement.
Provides leadership on climate and sustainability data gathering and reporting as well as contributes to communications, marketing, and engagement efforts that advance Emory’s sustainability efforts across the enterprise (University and Healthcare).
Facilitates the completion of Emory’s annual greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) inventory and related surveys, from data collection to output analysis.
Conducts necessary research and participates in relevant working groups to further Emory’s understanding and calculation of scope 3 emissions.
Grows and maintains Emory’s knowledge of the carbon offsets global landscape and works toward establishing an offsets program for Emory-sponsored air travel that has local and social justice benefits.

Community Engagement Specialist – Energy Programs

ICF is seeking a field-based Associate Account Specialist to take a significant role in the implementation of commercial energy efficiency programs in Baltimore, Maryland. The selected candidate will be responsible for recruiting participants from Environmental Justice (EJ) communities into our utility incentive programs. The candidate will develop and implement engagement strategies with the goal of increasing the number of energy efficiency projects and participants within identified communities. Renewables Program Manager

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for managing a team that leads and supports the development and management of current and future renewable energy programs, including the Simple Solar program, Community Solar program, REDI C&I program, CRSP program, CARES Utility Scale Subscription, CARES DG Subscription, CARES CIR, Income Qualified Community Solar, and Flex REC programs.

The Renewables Program Manager will manage existing programs in all aspects including program design, ensuring accurate accounting, billing, and participation, assisting and communicating with participants, required Regulatory filings, and implementation of new programs. The role is also responsible for translating business requests from management and other stakeholders into reporting deliverables for the organization such as: management summaries, detailed reports, and program impact projections of renewable programs. The position works with diverse teams across departments within GPC to accomplish objectives. The Renewables Program Manager will also be responsible for working closely with partner organizations, supporting renewable customer strategies, and communicating to customers and stakeholders regarding renewable energy programs. The role partners closely with leadership within Customer Solutions and across Renewable Development, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, Legal, Technology, and external stakeholders to advance renewable strategy, deliver new programs, and continuously improve program operations.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, or technical field preferred; MBA a plus
