Successful Candidate must have subject matter expertise in sustainability and energy related programs; experience establishing and building programs to support sustainability and resiliency, a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

Provide project compliance tracking.
Monitor office email box and coordinate responses.

Manage and track all project design review efforts and coordinate staff participation.
Assist in development and implementation of VA’s energy and greenhouse gas emissions strategies.

Qualifications (Education and Experience):

Must hold a related bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
Must have 7 or more years related work experience preferably with construction or real property projects/actions
Must hold certifications demonstrating familiarity with sustainable buildings and energy efficiency, such as LEED AP, Green Globes Professional, Certified Energy Manager (CEM), etc., or equivalent
Must demonstrate the ability to work independently with general guidance and minimal supervision
Candidate must be a U.S Citizen, have a current driver’s license, and be able to obtain and maintain a favorable background security investigation
Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Power Point, Publisher, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
Must be available for up to 50% travel throughout the US.

Sustainability & Decarbonization Specialist

The main function of the Sustainability & Decarbonization Specialist is to assist the COO in advancing organizational efforts to reduce carbon emissions, improve energy efficiency, and implement sustainable practices across all the company’s locations and departments. The position involves technical analysis, strategy development, and collaboration across departments (both in France and US) to achieve sustainability goals.

This role offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully toward combating climate change while driving organizational success through sustainable innovation in close collaboration with Hermes Group Central teams (France).

This position is onsite in our New York, NY Corporate Office.

About the Role:

As the Sustainability & Decarbonization Specialist, you will focus on the “Planet” CSR pillar and coordinate key internal sustainability initiatives across the entire US organization, including (but not limited to):

Compliance & Reporting: conduct and manage the company’s US annual carbon emissions inventory (data collection, measurement, analysis, reporting, reduction pathways, …); prepare ESR Group reporting; follow-up on “Hermes Sustainable Development Wheel” action plans; ensure adherence to environmental regulations by preparing detailed reports and tracking sustainability metrics
Data Analysis: collect, analyze, and manage large datasets related to energy use, emissions, and environmental performance; assist in preparation of sustainability documentation and reports, ensuring transparency and accuracy in data
Decarbonization Strategies: develop and implement approaches for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in retail locations/distribution center/office buildings, transportation systems and packaging sourcing; identify and source vendors/suppliers
Sustainability Planning: create actionable plans to promote renewable energy adoption, waste reduction, and resource conservation; support the Exceptional Sale & Upcycling department on product upcycling initiatives and drive action plans to reduce obsolete goods
Stakeholder Collaboration: act as the primary US point of contact for Hermes Group HQ SD teams; work with internal teams, external consultants, and regulatory bodies to align sustainability initiatives with organizational goals
Education & Advocacy: design training programs and workshops to foster a culture of sustainability within the organization; contribute to developing and executing sustainability initiatives across corporate offices, retail stores and the distribution center
Research & Innovation: track ESG trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory landscape changes related to decarbonization and sustainability

About You:

3+ years of experience in Sustainability in a retail (preferably in luxury) or corporate setting
Ability to proficiently write and speak in French
Graduate degree preferred (sustainability, social impact, or related field)
Sustainability certifications (GHGP carbon accounting, other)
Experience establishing sustainability partnerships with suppliers and vendors
Well-versed in the legal and regulatory frameworks on global and US sustainability requirements
Ability to work with big data sets
Proficiency in ESG/sustainability reporting software platforms or data management tools
Experience with SAP and other accounting platforms preferred

The range for this position is $75,000.00 – $88,746.67 annually. Actual rates are determined based on the job, location, and individual experience.

Sustainability Fellowship

UVA Sustainability Fellowships are full-time, benefitted project management and support positions in UVA’s Office for Sustainability that focus on achievement of the University’s sustainability goals. These positions have a 12-month term limit (not eligible for renewal) and are designed to equip professionals interested in sustainability careers with relevant knowledge, skills, experience, and connections. Multiple Fellows may be appointed dependent on project need.

Fellows must possess an undergraduate degree in any field by the start of their term, but do not need to possess said degree at the time of application. Strong candidates will have experience implementing sustainability-related projects and initiatives, even if not in a professional setting.

UVA Sustainability Fellows will be team players who are also able to work independently using a high level of analytical, process, and people skills. Duties may include:

Strategizing and implementing a key, longer-term program related to one or more sustainability goals.

Managing shorter-term special projects as assigned by Fellowship Supervisor.

Supporting other team members’ initiatives within the Fellow’s area of focus.

Presenting to high-level collaborators and customers.

Actively assessing sustainability needs on-Grounds.

Researching best practices from other institutions and organizations.

Zero Waste Fellow duties may include:

Leading zero waste event strategy and execution: including program promotion, trainings, on-site support, volunteer coordination, liaising with UVA Recycling Department, coordinating with area caterers, piloting new resources as needed, and general process/program improvement.

Supporting waste infrastructure standardization in UVA’s academic facilities.

Supporting compliance with UVA’s plastic-free requirements.

Performing waste audits and assist with special collection campaigns including cardboard at move-in, donations at move-out, and Green Games for major athletic events.

Sustainable Healthcare Fellow duties may include:

Leading clinician and medical student engagement strategy and execution; including presentations, tabling, events, listserv management, communications, possibly facilitating a working group, and general program improvement.

Supporting and leading new recycling infrastructure site visits, surveys, education, presentations, and rollouts in UVA Medical Center facilities in collaboration with Fellowship Supervisor and Medical Center Environmental Services.

Researching and sharing best practices from other institutions and Practice Greenhealth.

Working with Medical Center purchasing stakeholders, clinicians, and others on more sustainable procurement opportunities.

Supporting award applications related to healthcare sustainability, as needed.

Performing waste audits, attending Health System Sustainability Committee Meetings, liaising with Practice Greenhealth, and tracking clinician- and medical student-led waste initiatives in progress.

At the conclusion of the 12-month term, UVA Sustainability Fellows will be required to submit a written summary report of accomplishments, including recommendations for current and future initiatives.

Sr. Manager, Environmental Sustainability

This key role will support TJX’s Environmental Sustainability program, with a with a focus on reporting and disclosure. This will include the oversight of environmental sustainability data and metrics (including Scope 1, 2, & 3 emissions data, waste, water, etc.), oversight of related systems and tools to enable achievement of strategic goals, input into program strategy in relevant areas, and supporting the development of TJX’s disclosures in both voluntary and mandatory reporting frameworks. It is a hybrid position requiring 2 days a week on-site at our Marlborough, MA location.

What You Will Do:

Oversee team’s execution of TJX’s global data collection processes, including relevant controls and quality assurance, to support public-facing sustainability goals, metrics, and initiatives (including GHG inventory, waste, sustainable packaging)
Lead third party assurance process & timelines to support verification of data & metrics
Partner with key internal stakeholders (Energy Management, Facilities, Store Operations, Procurement, Distribution Services, etc.) to direct prioritization and development of processes, systems, reporting & analytics on topics such as: climate, energy efficiency, renewables, re-use and recycling, circular economy, and sustainable sourcing
Support the development of new sustainability goals through the creation of disclosure roadmaps (including data & metric gap assessment), stakeholder alignment, & process implementation

Who We Are Looking For: You

Assistant Director of Facilities / Energy and Sustainability Manager

The Assistant Director of Facilities / Energy and Sustainability Manager will assist the Director of Facilities in overseeing the daily operations of campus facilities, including the supervision of trades, grounds, heating plant, and custodial services. This role will work closely with various campus entities to coordinate construction projects, ensure compliance with building codes, and support energy management and sustainability initiatives.

Under the direction of the Director of Facilities, the incumbent will oversee all aspects of facilities maintenance and operations, ensuring that campus facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality. Additionally, they will develop and implement energy efficiency and sustainability strategies to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while promoting environmentally responsible practices.

The Energy and Sustainability Manager component of this role focuses on reducing energy consumption, improving sustainability efforts, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include analyzing energy usage, identifying cost-saving opportunities, managing renewable energy projects, and implementing sustainability initiatives that enhance environmental stewardship across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, a broad knowledge of business functions, and experience in project management. Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations of campus facilities, ensuring effective management of trades, grounds, heating plant, and custodial services.

Required Qualifications:

Director – Sustainability

Position Duties
Provides leadership to achieve the University’s comprehensive sustainability goals, including advancing Loyola’s climate action efforts and greenhouse gas emissions reduction goals. The Director works closely with their supervisor, executive leadership, students, faculty, and staff to advance sustainability in all aspects of the campus including academic programs, campus planning, facilities operations, co-curricular student opportunities and other areas as needed to support University sustainability efforts.

Essential Functions

Sustainability Performance:

1. Advance the University’s Sustainability Tracking Assessment & Rating System (STARS) rating to support the Strategic Plan goal, “STARS Platinum rating by 2030”. Works to support the University to facilitate sustainability-related efforts. 2. Establish sustainability goals and priorities and track the University’s progress toward established energy and carbon emission reduction goals as outlined in the Climate Action Plan. Revise and make recommendations for additional goals to advance the University’s efforts. 3. Lead sustainability initiatives by providing research, information and assistance to campus departments, and student organizations in development and implementation. 4. Advance sustainability programs and initiatives such as recycling and composting, Green Office, Good Stuff Campaign, St. Francis Feast, etc. 5. Track university data related to sustainability, including waste, water, fuel and energy. Prepare reports and develop and maintain tools, metrics and indicators for assessing progress towards sustainability goals. Compile annual reports. Monitor and report progress of sustainability goals highlighted in the University’s Climate Action Plan.

Collaborative Programming:

1. Lead the Office of Sustainability. This role advocates for sustainability activities and decision-making across diverse units, manages staff, oversees fiscal operations of the sustainability office. 2. Work with all aspects of the residential and academic campus community, including students, faculty, and staff to promote an understanding and awareness of sustainability issues. Coordinate informational trainings and presentations, promote energy and water conservation, waste minimization, recycling, sustainable buildings and landscape design, the arboretum, alternative transportation, procurement of green products, etc. 3. Support and foster student leadership and engagement in sustainability initiatives. 4. Evaluate and advance sustainability initiatives from multiple perspectives–return on investment; progress on the Climate Action Plan; and impact on campus and campus community. 5. Work with vendors to manage the information provided for greenhouse gas reporting and benchmarking. 6. Supervise sustainability team members, including professional staff, graduate assistants, sustainability fellows, student workers, student volunteers, etc. Supervisory responsibilities include providing direction, leadership, mentoring, and oversight for the office, which includes hiring, training, supervision and evaluation of at least one professional staff member and both direct and indirect supervision of all other team members. Conducts regular meetings with each direct report, assess and monitor progress, and creates a cohesive team that effectively administers the office’s operations and initiatives.

Engagement:

1. Engage the Loyola community to develop and implement a dynamic sustainability program guided by the recommendations in the Climate Action Plan with short and longrange implementation strategies and programs. 2. Develop educational programs to advance sustainability as a core value across campus, including generating content for communication initiatives and managing the sustainability website, social media and events. 3. Present program reviews and updates to University constituents. 4. Co-chair the Sustainability Committee (a committee of the Loyola Conference) with a broad campus representation. 5. Manage and advance engagement programs as a means for integrating sustainability as part of the Loyola community and as a part of our larger community in Baltimore City and Maryland. 6. Develop shared goals with connections to other campus priorities and initiatives including integral ecology and diversity, equity and inclusion. Foster a welcoming, affirming and diverse environment. 7. Represent the University at local, regional and national sustainability organizations such as the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE), and Baltimore Colleges and Universities for a Sustainable Environment (B’CAUSE). 8. Sustainability Manager

As the Sustainability Manager here at Hamilton County, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive sustainability initiatives within the organization. This role involves strategic planning, policy development, and project management to enhance energy efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and promote sustainable practices. The Manager collaborates with internal stakeholders, external partners, and regulatory bodies to drive the organization’s commitment to environmental stewardship.

Summary of Job Duties:

Plan, coordinate, and direct sustainability goals and projects. Identify, pursue, and secure funding sources including federal, state, and private funds to support sustainability programs, projects, and initiatives. Incorporate equity, inclusion, and environmental justice into sustainability plans, projects, and initiatives. Manage project budgets, formulate work plans, monitor schedules, and report progress. Prepare grant applications and partnership proposals and manage grant compliance. Actively partner with outside agencies, government, and stakeholders to achieve sustainability outcomes.
Coordinate and assist county departments with development of sustainability action plans and environmental, social, and economic strategies to integrate sustainability practices into their operations. Develop effective communication and engagement strategy in collaboration with the Office of Media and Engagement on sustainability programs, projects, and initiatives. Speak on behalf of and officially represent the county at various public events and meetings as requested; interpret and communicate official position on pertinent sustainability matters; meet with and explain to communities and the general public the programs, projects, and concepts related to the county sustainability programs; and maintain channels of publicity (including website and social media) on the county’s sustainability initiatives in collaboration with the Office of Media and Engagement. Assist with special events and programs to promote and educate the public and county staff about recycling, resource conservation, sustainable energy, resiliency, and pollution prevention issues.

Sustainability Coordinator

Job Summary

Lead the City’s external and internal recycling and waste diversion efforts, working with residents, waste haulers, and other industry stakeholders. Collaborate with other City departments on internal-facing environmental initiatives and serve as the City’s representative and primary spokesperson for advancing and promoting communitywide sustainability and environmental initiatives. Develop educational campaigns to inform the community on single-stream recycling program and other environmental programs. Plan and organize events such as the Big Sioux Stewardship Summit, the Big Sioux River Cleanup, and other City-hosted public events.

Job Responsibilities

1. Oversee recycling and waste diversion programs to reduce landfill contributions, encourage responsible resource use, and lengthen the life of the Sioux Falls Regional Landfill. Collect data and monitor waste hauler compliance in the single-stream recycling program. Engage community members and industry stakeholders to ensure recycling access is provided at all properties in the city. Monitor program effectiveness, collect data, and prepare reports to evaluate progress and recommend improvements.

2. Coordinate strategic educational campaigns alongside City communications team. Plan, write, and coordinate content updates for website, social media, internal communications, video, and/or print.

3. Lead and coordinate all aspects of event planning, including logistics, budgeting, speaker selection and coordination, venue selection, and vendor management to ensure successful execution of corporate and private events.

4. Assist as assigned in the oversight of contractors related to the operation of the City’s Household Hazardous Waste Facility.

5. Serve as chairperson on the Solid Waste Planning Board. Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, liaise with board members, industry representatives, and the public.

6. Investigate recycling and garbage complaints, recommend corrective action, conduct compliance follow-up, and conduct code enforcement action as necessary.

7. Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, best practices, and funding opportunities to enhance program impact and innovation.

8. Collaborate with the Environmental Office and other divisions of Public Works on environmental initiatives. Educate, provide technical assistance to, and work collaboratively with City departments and related staff, Mayor, and City Council to promote, leverage support, and integrate reasonable sustainable practices into the community and City operations. Give presentations to City staff and City Council.

9. Serve as a liaison between local organizations, community groups, and government agencies to build partnerships that support environmental initiatives.

10. Organize and lead community engagement events, workshops, and outreach programs to encourage public participation.

11. Perform other such duties and functions as are necessary or incidental to the proper performance of this position.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in natural sciences, environmental management, business or public administration, communications, or related degree along with a demonstrated interest in recycling and sustainability; or any such combination of education, experience, and training as may be acceptable to the hiring authority. Four (4) years’ related experience is preferred.

Must possess or be able to obtain prior to hire a valid driver’s license.

Sustainability Manager

The Sustainability Manager will assist with the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives within operations. This key role ensures that sustainability goals are integrated into daily operations while aligning with broader corporate objectives. The manager will focus on data collection, analysis, and reporting to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to environmental impact, resource efficiency, and waste reduction, driving continuous improvement and process optimization.

Reporting to the Senior Sustainability Manager, the Sustainability Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams both internally and externally, including Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, the Swire Coca-Cola Limited team, The Coca-Cola Company, and John Swire & Sons. As a subject matter expert, the manager will help guide the company’s environmental strategy, monitor progress towards Swire’s sustainability goals, and lead projects that integrate sustainable practices across all levels of the business. This role balances both business performance and sustainability, ensuring initiatives that enhance operational efficiency while reducing the company’s environmental impact. This person plays a central role in embedding the SD2030 framework across the organization.

Responsibilities:

Manage Sustainability Data & Reporting: Lead the collection, analysis, and reporting of key sustainability metrics to internal teams and external stakeholders. Drive accountability of accuracy and transparency in data tracking and reporting. Serve as the technical lead for Swire Coca-Cola’s sustainability data management systems, ensuring effective use and integration of software tools for data collection and reporting
Lead Sustainability Budgeting & Reporting: Lead the annual sustainability budgeting process for sustainability KPIs with relevant stakeholders within operations. Oversee ownership of sustainability data and audit management
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Project Execution: Lead work with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability strategies into business operations, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives including but not limited to water efficiency, energy efficiency, carbon emissions reduction, and Zero-Waste Certifications. Conduct research and analysis to inform sustainability projects, provide recommendations, and lead the implementation of process improvements
External Representation & Stakeholder Engagement: Represent Swire Coca-Cola at industry forums, conferences, and regulatory meetings. Manage relationships with external stakeholders and industry groups

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field
3+ years of relevant experience in sustainability, corporate responsibility, or a related area
Strong understanding of sustainability metrics, reporting frameworks (e.g., CDP, GRI, SBTi), and corporate sustainability trends
Familiarity with sustainability-related software and tools for data collection, reporting, and analysis is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant tools for collaboration and reporting

In support of Skyworks’ Sustainability commitment to “meet today’s needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own,” we are seeking a highly motivated Sustainability Programs Specialist to coordinate and operate Sustainability / ESG programs and associated reporting for Skyworks’ worldwide operations. Key attributes and responsibilities include:

Strong cross-functional engagement with Legal, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Operations, HR and other teams to identify and drive responsible business practices that comply with Skyworks’ Sustainability commitments and the Responsible Business Alliance’s (RBA) Code of Conduct (Skyworks Materials is a member of the RBA)
Assist in the development of RBA training materials, internal assessments, and communications to worldwide operations and leadership. Prepare sites for, and participate in, RBA Validated Assessment Program (VAP) audits
Strong communication skills to drive awareness of Sustainability programs across all levels of the organization
Support data preparation and implementation / execution of requirements pertaining to the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) requirements
Management of internal KPI’s associated with CO2e emissions, waste, water, energy, as well as ethics, labor, H&S, and management systems
Support environmental / sustainability disclosures to platforms including the Skyworks Annual Sustainability Report, CDP, Ecovadis, and S&P.

Qualifications

BS, preferably in an environmental or sustainability-related field
2+ years experience in Sustainability / ESG program operation and/or development and implementation
Familiarity with the RBA Code of Conduct and supporting Operations Manual and ISO14001
Experience developing and/or implementing Sustainability and Environmental Management Systems
Understanding of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, Science Based Target Initiative, and overall scope 1, 2, and 3 CO2e emissions calculation methodologies
Familiarity with Federal, State, and International regulations including the SEC’s Climate Disclosure Rule, CA SB253 and SB261, and EU CSRD
Strong project management skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead meetings, teams, and drive results
