Senior Sustainability Analyst

Carter’s Sustainability Department is responsible for setting the company’s sustainability strategy and commitments, working cross-divisionally to implement initiatives that support our efforts to be a more sustainable brand.

This role reports to the Senior Director of Sustainability and is based on-site in our Atlanta office. This role is responsible for supporting Carter’s Sustainability and ESG goals.

Sustainability data management (70%):
Calculate Carter’s annual greenhouse gas Scopes 1, 2, and 3 emissions inventory
Measure progress towards our science-based Scope 1 and 2 emissions reduction target, and utilize supplier data to support the setting of a Scope 3 reduction target
Compile waste generation data from Carter’s offices, distribution centers, and retail stores, and track progress towards landfill diversion goals
Collaborate across divisions to support packaging reduction and sustainability by leveraging packaging data to comply with packaging and waste regulations, internationally and domestically
Compile water consumption data from corporate office, distribution centers, retail stores, and suppliers, and track progress towards water reduction efforts
Support annual external verification of environmental key performance indicators (KPIs)
Manage implementation of Envizi and leverage the tool for ongoing reporting and analysis of environmental KPIs, incl. energy consumption, waste generation, and water reduction across the business
External ESG rankings and ratings (30%):
Support the compilation and submittal of various sustainability/ESG-related questionnaires and assessments, e.g. CDP, S&P Global CSA, Sustainalytics, ISS
Identify and address gaps in Carter’s public disclosures and ESG questionnaire responses in order to improve external ESG rankings and ratings

Sustainable Transportation Program Coordinator

Position Description:

The Transportation Program Coordinator will implement and develop projects and advocacy campaigns to promote biking, walking, rolling, and taking public transportation in Philadelphia. The purpose of this position is to coordinate with different stakeholders, including residents, business owners, elected officials, city agencies, and other organizations to advocate for and promote sustainable transportation options in order to reduce transportation carbon pollution in the region. This position is a member of the Council’s Sustainable Transportation Program and will collaborate with team members on a variety of projects. This role also works closely with other Council staff. This position will report to the Sustainable Transportation Program Manager.

Responsibilities:

Support Feet First Philly, a Council-organized grassroots pedestrian advocacy group, by coordinating educational events and supporting community groups in advancing local walkability solutions. Coordinate a mini-grant program designed to enhance public spaces and increase walking, biking, and public transit usage.
Collaborate with regional partners to implement transportation programs and incentives designed to encourage alternatives to driving (e.g., such as TRIPSMART).
Promote the Council’s transportation programs through outreach tactics such as tabling, e-blasts, newsletters, and social media posts and ads.
Organize public presentations to promote the Council’s programs to businesses, community groups, and the general public.
Encourage the adoption of the Council’s sustainable commuting programs through one-on-one meetings with elected officials, business owners, commuters, and other key stakeholders.
Facilitate Walk Audits throughout Philadelphia to assess the walkability of the area.
Develop and implement other sustainable transportation projects as needed.

Sustainability Analyst

The Sustainability Analyst will assist the Director of Sustainability in sharing our environmental sustainability strategy effectively throughout the organization and to stakeholders. The Analyst is responsible for supporting data collection and management of NFI’s greenhouse gas (“GHG”) emissions reporting and environmental compliance efforts. This will be a cross-functional role that will work on sustainability-related issues and contribute to sustainability communications efforts throughout the business lines. The analyst will provide data-driven insights and analysis to help shape strategies, measure environmental impact, and promote sustainable business practices.

Responsibilities

Collect, analyze, and interpret environmental data related to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, waste, energy use, and other sustainability metrics.
Monitor and stay updated on local, state, and federal environmental regulations and standards.
Manage site-level operational relationships to ensure accurate reporting of environmental regulations and the implementation of compliance procedures.
Prepare and submit regulatory reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Intake and track requests for individual sustainable needs. Assist research and identify opportunities focused on reducing NFI’s environmental footprint.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required
Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, or Sustainability related Major. Business or

The Senior Renewable Energy Specialist will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and closing renewable energy transactions for the Global Energy & Sustainability Team’s ongoing renewable energy initiatives. The Global Energy & Sustainability Team is focused on building a portfolio of renewable energy projects to address Scope 3 emissions tied to global Apple device usage.

We require an experienced renewable energy professional to help us source, structure and negotiate deals on a global basis, conduct due diligence, bring them to close, and ensure they meet Apple’s high standards of financial and technical performance, as well as our environmental and social impact. The role requires deep collaboration with a broad range of Apple departments including finance, tax, corporate procurement, legal, government affairs, marketing and communications, environmental technologies, supply chain clean energy program, and the environment, policy, and social initiatives team.

Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in finance, economics, engineering, or other relevant field with 10+ years of global experience focused on renewable energy transactions, project development and electricity markets.

Preferred Qualifications:
Strong experience sourcing, negotiating, and closing renewable energy transactions globally.
Deep knowledge of renewable energy development, including solar, wind and battery storage technologies, environmental permitting, interconnection, and risk mitigation.
Experience with a wide range of contract structures, including power purchase agreements, tax equity and equity investments, renewable energy credit purchase agreements, utility green programs, and others.
Working relationships with renewable energy developers and financiers across diverse geographies.
Understanding of global renewable energy markets, fundamental economics, and policies.
International renewable energy and climate change experience in major Asian, European, and/or North American markets. Africa and Latin America experience also a plus.
Strong project management and time management skills to complete multiple priorities in a fast-paced global setting.
Excellent spoken and written communication skills and ability to collaborate seamlessly with various colleagues in an unstructured environment.

Energy and Sustainability Program Manager

The Energy and Sustainability Program Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and sustainable use of district resources while also managing pre-construction activities to ensure projects meet building and fire codes, requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the district’s sustainability action plan. This role encompasses the management and monitoring of energy systems, implementation of sustainability initiatives, and oversight of pre-construction processes to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to district standards. The position will oversee multiple sustainability projects district-wide and develop long-term sustainability plans to ensure the district meets both current and future sustainability goals.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Auxiliary Services, the Energy and Sustainability Program Manager involves close collaboration with various stakeholders to develop and manage projects identified on the district’s sustainability action plan. This includes projects identified within current and future general obligation bonds and long-term capital projects. This role requires a strong understanding of sustainability initiatives, pre-construction and construction project management, and building accessibility requirements, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining open lines of communication with district leadership, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience (two (2) years’ experience may be substituted for one (1) year of education)

Sustainability Manager

The Sustainability Manager will support the development, implementation, promotion and monitoring of environmental strategies and goals for Palmetto Goodwill’s recycling program to reduce the environmental impact.

Develops and establishes strong business relationships with recycling vendors and other business accounts.
Provide and develop energy conservation programs to manage energy/utility consumption further reduce/better within the organization.
Identifies trends and opportunities for organizational improvement by collecting and analyzing data on sustainability initiatives with key internal stakeholders.
Ensure successful delivery of recycling and solid waste operations, including the receiving processing and marketing of all recyclables.
Ensures that all recyclables are disposed of in a responsible manner.

Geothermal Program Manager

Energy Conservation and Management (ECAM) within the Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department leads the state’s charge toward clean energy adoption. ECAM is committed to developing and deploying solutions that will maximize New Mexico’s renewable energy resources and improve energy efficiency. ECAM is the U.S. Department of Energy’s designated State Energy Office. The Energy Technology and Engineering Bureau leads work across clean energy programs quantifying energy savings, increasing accessibility of rebate programs, certifying energy service contractor work and administering the New Mexico geothermal program.
Why does the job exist?
On March 5, 2024 Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham signed House Bill 91 into law. The new law requires the Energy Conservation and Management Division to: administer laws and rules relating to geothermal resources; administer the geothermal projects development fund and geothermal projects revolving loan fund; apply for federal grants related to geothermal resources development; and foster the growth of geothermal resources in New Mexico.
How does it get done?
– Provide technical assistance to EMNRD, ECAM Director, other agencies, legislature, tribes, local governments, developers and the public on geothermic down-hole efficiency, electrification and other topics as needed.
– Manage Geothermal Loan and Grant Programs.
– Assist with the review and issuance of permits for geothermal wells including exploratory and operational wells.
– Review and draft geothermal rules and regulations for geothermal resources in New Mexico and provide recommendations for updates/changes as appropriate.
– Perform/Oversee site visits and inspections of existing, developing, and potential geothermal well sites to evaluate hydrologic impacts of various projects and proposals, among other tasks.
– Evaluate program performance and data, and perform in-depth data analysis using spreadsheet analytics, computer models and GIS databases to recommend improvements to program design and implementation.
– Manage geothermal projects, which may include development of agreements and scopes of works, and oversight/management of outside contracts/consultants in support of sustainable geothermal development.

Environmental and Energy Specialist

The Environmental and Energy Specialist oversees processes and projects that help Nestle Purina achieve our Environmental and Energy goals. They lead all environmental compliance requirements with local, regional, and national agencies. They will monitor and manage the use of all energy inputs into the facility to optimize our performance and minimize our use of resources (electrical, water, gas, etc.).

Assist the Sustainability Program Specialist in the completion of the community and organizational greenhouse gas inventories.
