Sustainabilty Coordinator

We are looking for a Sustainability Coordinator to join Intuit Dome! Under the Director of Sustainability, the Coordinator will support organization-wide sustainability projects, such as our Zero Waste initiative, and collect and maintain sustainability data for Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.

What You Will Do

Identify, collect, and maintain data from various sources, internal and external to the organization, for Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions reporting and other sustainability indicators.
Research and prepare reports and presentations describing findings, recommendations, and overall environmental impacts of decisions, as requested.
Assist with maintaining sustainability programs and initiatives, such as our Zero Waste program, by researching, communicating with internal and external partners, and contributing to operations as assigned.
Support outreach efforts to internal and external partners regarding general sustainability information, including waste reduction, GHG emission reduction, and overall sustainability progress.
Support the Director of Sustainability with developing and conducting sustainability training workshops for full and part-time staff.
Support sustainability-focused certification and re-certification projects, such as LEED Zero.
Take on ad hoc projects as they come.

Your Background, Skills, and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Sustainability, Environmental Science, or related field. Relevant sustainability experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
A minimum of one year of related professional experience collecting and managing sustainability data streams, performing statistical analysis, and evaluating environmental issues.
Knowledge and understanding of sustainability concepts, waste management practices, energy efficiency practices, and Greenhouse Gas reporting protocols.
Experience with organizing and handling multiple tasks concurrently.
Experience collecting and analyzing large amounts of data, identifying trends, and generating reports and graphics.
Ability to effectively communicate sophisticated information with individuals at all levels, both internally and externally
Skill in researching and supporting the implementation of innovative, sustainable building operations.

Compensation

Compensation range for this role is $26 per hour to $28 per hour. Compensation package offered will be based on multiple individualized factors, including a candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Sustainability Coordinator

General Purpose

The Sustainability Coordinator leads and facilitates sustainability Village initiatives.
Essential Functions:

Research, recommend and coordinate sustainability policies and programs to the organization and partner agencies.
Identify relevant programs, coordinate grant applications, provide technical assistance, implement program requirements, and maintain program participation in order to maximize benefit to the community.

Develop and facilitate events, presentations, workshops, and demonstrations to educate community members about sustainability practices and programs.
Establish and lead Village interdepartmental sustainability committee; identify opportunities for shared programming in order to maximize impact of environmental improvements, waste reduction practices, external funding, etc.
Coordinate with Village leadership to implement sustainability pillar of the Comprehensive Plan.
Serve as the primary point of contact on environmental sustainability.
Respond to resident inquiries and provide professional and technical support to residents regarding sustainable tax credits, village codes, and state and federal incentives.
Identify ways the village can adopt sustainable best practices to streamline the user experience and encourage resident participation in incentive programs.
Serve as the liaison to the Environmental and Forestry Commission; attend meetings; provide technical assistance.
Attend public meetings as a sustainability representative as needed.

Desired Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, sustainable business, public administration, or related field.
Two (2) to three (3) years’ minimum professional work experience in sustainability, natural resources, and/or environmental studies.

Sustainability & Environmental Planner

This position will support the manufacturing site’s regulatory compliance while maintaining the facility’s internal and external customers, reports, data, inspections, and permits for all local, state, and federal agencies. Sustainability Coordinator

Edesia is a 501c3 nonprofit that changes the health of the world’s most malnourished one packet of ‘miracle’ food at a time. Our humanitarian foods travel across the globe and are distributed primarily through UNICEF, the World Food Programme, and USAID. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as the Sustainability Coordinator. This pivotal role involves leading our efforts to expand our Environmental-Social-Governance (ESG) culture, with an emphasis on expanding the environmental programs as Edesia grows and expands. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sustainability project initiation, evaluation, measurement and reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Act as the sustainability point of contact, helping define Edesia’s ESG strategy, reviewing all decisions and reports related to sustainability and building/expansion, for upstream and downstream partners.
Produce materiality assessments by capturing all Edesia stakeholder expectations.

The Fellow, Sustainability is responsible in supporting and expanding the Pittsburgh Pirates in all sustainability efforts. You will work closely with PNC Park Operations department, front office staff, and internal stakeholders to develop and execute strategies aimed at minimizing the environmental footprint of PNC Park while enhancing its overall sustainability performance.

Environmental Sustainability Director

The Minnesota Chamber of Commerce (MCC) is a statewide advocacy organization representing 6,300 businesses and over 500,000 employees across Minnesota. We advocate on a broad array of business issues that affect businesses’ bottom line. Advocacy includes legislative representation at the state capitol and individual business assistance through our programs. Waste Wise and Energy Smart are programs of the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce. The programs work in close partnership through the Minnesota Waste Wise Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit affiliate of the Chamber, to promote environmentally sustainable practices which help businesses save money through waste reduction, resource conservation, environmental sustainability, and energy efficiency.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Environmental Sustainability Director leads the sustainability programs of the Minnesota Chamber, which currently includes Waste Wise and Energy Smart. Responsible for annual program performance and financial objectives of the sustainability programs. The position leads the department with overall management responsibility for several direct and indirect reports. The position is also responsible for ensuring that all staff provide program services to as many Minnesota Chamber members as possible. Reports directly to the VP, Program and Business Services/MWWF Executive Director, and indirect reporting to the MWWF Board of Directors.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

Serve as the primary environmental sustainability team member of the Minnesota Chamber.

THE WORK YOU WILL DO

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate for the position of Energy Engineer meets the following preferred criteria:

5 years of experience in energy engineering, energy management, and/or energy efficiency/sustainability.

Certified Energy Manager and/or Certified Energy Auditor. Experience with building systems and local/state benchmarking regulations. Familiarity with utility efficiency rebates and incentive programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates for the position of Energy Engineer must meet the following minimum qualifications:

3 years of experience in energy engineering and/or energy management.

Perform weekly composting operations by following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as specified in the Compost Facility Operating Plan (CFOP), including
Facility set-up and breakdown
Complete decontamination procedures
Complete proper material monitoring and mixing with temperature, moisture, porosity, and bulk density recommendations
Complete aerated static pile (ASP) inputs and outputs, as well as passive aeration windrow turning
Compliance with health and safety requirements as specified in the Health and Safety Plan (HASP)
Recording composting operation metrics including feedstocks received, pile temperatures, Carbon to Nitrogen ratios, bay(s) used, moisture, working hours and notes
Compost sifting tasks and compost application/hauling
Maintenance of feedstocks including carbon feedstocks and nitrogen feedstocks (waste organics generated from our routing system)
Pre and post skid-steer checks and preventative maintenance procedures
Operate a skid-steer loader to perform compost mixing and movement tasks
Operate and drive a truck and trailer for skid steer or compost transport
Perform assigned maintenance tasks for equipment and vehicles
Comply with mandated certifications
