Position Summary:

Reporting to the Executive Director, Policy, this role advances and operationalizes extended producer responsibility (EPR) and related recycling policy at the state level, ensuring The Recycling Partnership is strategically positioned to influence policy development and support effective, equitable recycling systems. Serving as a subject matter expert on EPR legislation and regulatory frameworks, this role leads state-level policy engagement, builds and maintains strategic relationships with key stakeholders, and oversees high-impact policy analysis and implementation initiatives. In close collaboration with cross-functional teams, the Senior Director monitors legislative and regulatory activity, translates policy developments into actionable guidance, supports state and Circular Action Alliance (CAA) RFP efforts, and contributes to policy-driven deliverables that advance organizational priorities and measurable impact across states.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

5–7 years of experience in public policy, legislative or regulatory affairs, government relations, and/or government service.

The Paralegal will provide legal secretarial and administrative support to the Environmental Health program attorneys, with an emphasis on litigation support. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Preparing legal documents, including checking citations, completing tables of contents and authorities for briefs, proofreading, formatting, and ensuring compliance with court rules in a variety of federal jurisdictions;
Serving legal documents by Certified Mail, preparing courtesy/chambers copies, corresponding with vendors and Clerks’ offices, and related tasks;
Assisting with maintaining the Center’s and programs’ litigation-tracking databases and calendar management of court filings, administrative actions, and internal deadlines;
Preparing and indexing administrative records and appendices/excerpts of records in litigation;

Conducting factual and legal research and drafting, and document review;

Maintenance and updating of electronic databases and systems for filings, program campaigns, program management, and other program actions;

Handling and tracking payments for incurred expenses, which may include filing fees, bar dues, CLE registration, and submit monthly expense reports to Accounting;

Attorney

Clean Air Task Force (CATF) is a nonprofit organization working to safeguard against the worst impacts of climate change by catalyzing the rapid global development and deployment of low-carbon energy and other climate-protecting technologies. This is accomplished through legal and policy advocacy, research and analysis, and partnership with the private sector. ROLE:

CATF seeks a mid-level attorney with five to ten years of relevant experience to work with our U.S. Legal Team. CATF’s Legal Team engages actively with U.S. state and federal administrative rulemaking and policy matters and represents clients in litigation. Legal Team members also support CATF’s subject-matter programs, offering them strategic legal advice on the best approaches to leveraging their technical work into robust policies and implementation. Senior Policy Advisor, Forests

The Senior Policy Advisor for Forests & Fire leads and implements The Nature Conservancy’s (TNC’s) federal forest and fire policy strategies in service of TNC’s 2030 goals of addressing the biodiversity and climate crises. They work primarily with U.S. federal agencies and partners to develop, modify and advance strategies to shape forest and fire policy in the United States.

The successful candidate must reside in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

The Senior Policy Advisor for Forests & Fire furthers the work of The Nature Conservancy and its conservation partners through direct interaction with governments, multilateral agencies, and/or businesses focusing on policy, practice, and funding initiatives that provide conservation opportunities and/or impact conservation and restoration of America’s forests. They serve as a leader for TNC in developing, analyzing and implementing forest and fire policy at the federal level in the United States and as a conduit between TNC’s programs and state chapters to key leaders in federal agencies. Manager, Conservation Policy

Reporting to the Vice President, Audubon Vermont, the Manager, Conservation Policy will be responsible for assisting in the design and implementation of a tri-partisan policy agenda at the state and/or federal levels with a particular near-term focus on habitat conservation, land use, land conservation, community resiliency, and service-learning opportunities. This role will work in collaboration with Audubon Vermont staff and national conservation strategy and policy leadership.

The Manager, Conservation Policy will be a critical team member to help drive successful implementation of laws, policies and funding opportunities that are designed to enhance biodiversity protection, promote resilient communities that can adapt to the impacts of climate change, foster proactive land use and habitat conservation strategies, recover threatened and endangered species, equip landowners with proactive tools and programs to maintain healthy bird and wildlife populations, and promote service-learning opportunities for young adults interested in gaining environmental skills.

The Manager, Conservation Policy will build and maintain working relationships with external partners and stakeholders, including: state and federal legislators, state and federal agencies, and diverse partners to remain informed of policy and legislative developments related to Audubon’s agenda. They will help advance opportunities to leverage Audubon’s best assets – an engaged and growing grassroots membership, a desire to build broad coalitions, coordination with chapters, and an organization-wide commitment to pragmatic science-based solutions – in pursuit of sustainable policy accomplishments in Vermont and with the state’s federal delegation.

This hybrid position is based within the state of Vermont with travel to the Green Mountain Center, State House in Montpelier, VT and other locations around the state, as needed.

Legal Director

The Climate Jobs National Resource Center (CJNRC) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Director committed to building a clean energy economy at the scale science demands, creating good union careers, and reversing racial and economic inequality. CJNRC is a labor-led organization at the forefront of the fight to combat the climate crisis and reverse racial and economic inequality.

Responsibilities:

The Legal Director oversees a team of staff attorneys and plays a key leadership role in supporting CJNRC’s work to develop legal and legislative strategies in collaboration with coalitions and stakeholders. This position works closely with and supervises the day-to-day work of CJNRC’s staff attorneys and reports to the General Counsel, and performs work for the CJNRC Action Fund. The Legal Director also coordinates with CJNRC’s Policy, Campaigns, and Communications teams.

Specific Responsibilities include:

Program support: CJNRC is dedicated to educating about and advocating for state and local initiatives. This role will lead and develop our program by working with a team of three staff attorneys to analyze applicable procurement laws, laws and regulations governing labor standards, and laws governing restrictions on local legislative initiatives, and the federal, interstate regulation of energy. The attorney hired for this position will help identify legal strategies and a wide variety of obstacles that need to be overcome to advance our vision and will oversee the work of staff attorneys to ensure the excellence of our legal work.

Institutional support: CJNRC operates in a highly regulated area. A number of federal, state and local labor, energy, and environmental laws will affect its work or impose burdens that it must meet. Analysis of these regulations and navigating the regulatory shoals they create is an important part of the legal work.

The Associate provides cross-cutting support to the portfolio leadership to ensure effective execution of project targets for the Blue Nature Alliance. Legal Program Manager

San Diego’s leading clean water advocacy organization seeks a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team. Work with us to protect and restore San Diego County’s coastal and inland waters and the communities that depend on them.

The Legal Program Manager is a newly created position that will provide critical support to Coastkeeper’s legal team and Executive Director to advance our litigation and policy priorities. Coastkeeper uses regulatory and legislative advocacy and litigation to advance our mission of holding polluters accountable and strengthening laws and regulations to reduce pollution and promote sustainable water policies for our region. This position will report to Coastkeeper’s Senior Attorney and will work closely with our Staff Attorney, Executive Director and other staff.

We employ a strategic blend of advocacy, legal action, education, coalition building and community science to tackle persistent and emerging water quality, water supply and climate resilience issues across our region.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Applicants must be college graduates with at least a bachelor’s degree in environmental policy, political science or a related field. Master’s Degree is preferred but not required.
1-3 years of environmental policy, regulatory or legislative advocacy experience, preferably with experience in water, climate or land use issues.
