Responsibilities

Hands-On Program Implementation – 25
· Physically install and maintain campus recycling, composting, and waste diversion infrastructure including bins, signage, and collection systems

· Conduct regular waste audits by manually sorting and weighing trash, recycling, and compost to track diversion rates

· Set up and break down equipment for sustainability events, farmers markets, and campus initiatives

· Maintain campus gardens, rain gardens, and green infrastructure through planting, weeding, mulching, and seasonal maintenance

· Manage campus composting operations including collection, turning compost piles, and distribution

· Drive university vehicles to transport materials, supplies, and equipment for sustainability projects

Environmental Sustainability Program Manager

As the Walt Disney World Environmental Sustainability Program Manager, you will be responsible for developing the strategy to achieve The Walt Disney Company environmental goals across all operating areas, as well as identifying and prioritizing projects. This could include expanding recycling infrastructure, plastics reduction, water stewardship and energy efficiencies including fuels and transportation systems. You will actively partner across all business units at Walt Disney World and other environmental sustainability teams across the company to develop and optimize plans, influence decision making, and prioritize environmental initiatives.

In this on-site role based in Orlando, FL, you will report to the Environmental Sustainability Director.
What You Will Do

Develop overarching strategy and roadmap to support Walt Disney World’s contribution towards the company’s environmental goals
Research, design and develop environmental studies and KPIs for new projects supporting the environmental goals, which guides strategy development and decision making
Build business cases and financial estimates for scaled implementation across multiple lines of businesses, and secure buy-in from key stakeholders and leadership

Energy and Sustainability Services Manager

The Energy and Sustainability Services Manager creates, develops and administers the City’s environmental conservation and sustainability programs. This position is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining initiatives and strategic plans such as the Sustainable City Plan, Zero Waste Plan or Climate Action Plan. Performs other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Earth Science, Engineering, Urban Planning, Architecture, Business or Public Administration, or a closely related field. A pertinent graduate degree is desirable and can substitute for up to one year of the required experience.

EXPERIENCE:

Five (5) years of progressively responsible professional work experience related to sustainability and environmental programs, energy management, project or program development and management, solid waste program administration, or similar Public Works program including one year in a supervisory category.

Possession of a valid LEED Green Associate or LEED AP (Accredited Professional) Certificate from the U.S. Green Building Council or a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) credential from the Association of Energy Engineers is desirable.

An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform essential functions may also be considered.

Energy Analyst

The Energy Policy Analyst will work to implement internal and external plans to accomplish program and organizational goals.

Responsibilities will include:

Support the updates to and potential expansion of SACE’s internal database, SENFO. This database uses electricity sector data to track and report out on progress on decarbonization of electricity across the region.
Support SACE’s Utility Reform staff as they prepare reports, white papers, and articles

Minimum Requirements

Demonstrated skills in technical writing, verbal communication, and negotiations. Additional Information

Provide environmental support for construction and operation of wind, solar and battery storage energy projects, including but not limited to:

Develop and administer environmental programs to maintain compliance with environmental permits (e.g. eagle and threatened and endangered species incidental take permits, migratory bird special purpose – utility permits, state public utility commission site permits and vegetation management plans).
Direct and oversee compliance activities and serve as the primary environmental authority on environmental related issues (e.g. BGEPA, MBTA and T&E species, construction stormwater, CWA Section 404 and WCA).
Coordinate and manage contracted services for wildlife, noise and archeological related surveys and monitoring (e.g. T&E species surveys, raptor nest surveys and monitoring, point-count and eagle use surveys, noise monitoring complaint response and archeological surveys).
Compile and submit environmental related reports to federal, state and local agencies.
Develop and provide environmental related training for operations level staff.
Provide on-site support and respond to environmental incidents, such as spills, wildlife incidents and noise or shadow flicker complaints.
Serve as the primary point of contact for state and federal environmental agencies and tribal entities and support environmental audits.
Participate and engage with renewable industry groups such as Energy and Wildlife Action Coalition (EWAC), American Clean Power (ACP) and Renewable Energy Wildlife Institute (REWI).

Environmental & Energy Associate

As an Environmental & Energy Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance of the environmental and energy program through monitoring, measuring, analyzing, reporting and management of permits. You will partner with internal and external sustainability experts to identify improvement opportunities. To attain this sustainability strategy, you will champion measures to reduce waste and minimize environmental impact while increasing efficiency. You will identify, develop, justify and oversee improvement projects to ensure environmental compliance and align with company goals.

Maintain ISO 14001 certification and continuously improve the environmental management system for the factory
Complete timely permit renewals or changes for air, water, wastewater, stormwater, and any other environmental regulatory requirements
Complete timely external compliance reporting for air, water, wastewater, stormwater, and any other environmental regulatory requirements
Complete timely internal compliance reporting for Energy, Environmental and Sustainability requirements
Review and process monthly invoices for energy, water and waste
Administer waste disposal contracts (waste slurry, sludge, solid waste, hazardous waste, recyclables, etc.) and maintain relationships with service providers

Senior Renewable Energy Project Permitting Biologist

DNV’s Environmental and Permitting Services (EPS) team is growing rapidly, and we are seeking a Senior Renewable Energy Project Permitting Biologist to help us provide comprehensive biological and permitting services in North America. You will be responsible for supporting project development, permitting, and owner’s engineering activities for onshore wind, offshore wind, solar, energy storage and hydrogen projects, including support for the preparation of local, state, and federal renewable energy permit applications and management plans, Bird and Bat Conservation Strategies, Habitat Conservation Plans, Eagle Conservation Plans and associated environmental impact studies. You will also be engaged in providing inputs to early phase siting and site characterization studies, assisting with field surveys, assisting with project due diligence activities and mentoring team members.
