In our continued transformation from a real estate company to a customer experience company, we are seeking a Director of Energy & Sustainability, who will be responsible for the development and execution of energy management programs that deliver operational efficiencies and carbon footprint reductions. This role uses innovation and expertise in energy services to support the portfolio in managing utility consumption and best in class operational practices. This position will report directly to the VP of Enterprise Operations with geographic flexibility to work remotely offered by Tanger’s hub-and-spoke approach to a modern Teams-driven workplace.

How you will contribute to what we do:

Implement energy and sustainability programs to reach objectives.
Assist in developing and executing multi-year ESG strategy for the enterprise.
Manage the energy, waste, and water data collection process within Tanger Outlets’ technology platform and produce monthly and quarterly reports.
Manage the performance of existing solar systems and be the lead towards developing new systems within the portfolio.
Develop and execute strategies to reduce the unit cost of electricity and gas in deregulated markets.
Perform site assessments at the property level to develop ROI capital improvements opportunities and apply operating efficiencies in coordination with property management team.
Provide subject matter expertise to evaluate new technology and innovation projects and evaluate companies regarding their offerings and operating solutions.
Provide technical consulting on energy related matters for new developments, renovations, expansions, and asset intensification projects.
Acts as point of contact for the Electric Vehicle Charging program.
Develop and maintain analytical, statistical, and financial reports to measure key performance indicators and prioritize activities.
Be a coaching resource to the field and corporate employees when applying Tanger Outlets’ Best Practices in energy related matters that match our corporate initiatives and goals.

A bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related discipline along with eight (8) plus years of relevant experience is required. Zero Waste Coordinator

The City of Worcester seeks applicants for the position of Zero Waste Coordinator for the Department of Sustainably and Resilience. This position will assist with implementation of Zero Waste goals of the Green Worcester Sustainability and Resilience Strategic Plan (GWP) and will work closely with the Department of Public Works & Parks. The Zero Waste Coordinator will coordinate the development and implementation of a Zero Waste Master Plan to promote waste prevention, materials reuse, and diversion of food waste. The coordinator will lead public outreach campaigns including developing content for educational and outreach materials on zero waste topics; attend community events to educate the public about the cityÔÇÖs zero waste initiatives; and increase awareness of recycling requirements to ensure compliance with state and local laws, in collaboration with residents, public schools, institutions, businesses and community groups. The coordinator will also expand on the existing and initiate new municipal programs to divert waste; and will organize and/or participate in waste collection events. The employee will prepare and submit required annual MassDEP reports, pursue applicable MassDEP grants and other grant opportunities to advance GWP zero waste goals, and will review and propose changes to the policies, practices, ordinances, and laws governing the collection, recycling, and disposal of household solid waste.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of experience working in a sales capacity within the electrical industry, preferably selling energy solutions to commercial and industrial end users.
Demonstrated knowledge of current national regulatory requirements for industrial/commercial applications, including, but not limited to, utility rebate incentives, federal, state, and industry energy efficiency standards, disposal law and IES Illumination recommendations, safety codes, LEED, and EPACT.
