Sustainability Engineer II

ASR Group has ambition to be the most sustainable sugar refining business in the world. This Sustainability Engineer reports directly to the site Facility Manager and has dotted line relationships with the Senior Director of Environmental and Social Governance (ESG) Programming (Data and Reporting), VP of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Corporate Director Operational Sustainability & Projects, and other departments as needed. The person in this role will be responsible for supporting the site leadership team in finalizing ESG / Sustainability Framework and then executing on it to show progress on sustainability KPIs, ultimately driving toward environmental goals and social responsibilities commitments. The focus will be on instilling a culture of sustainability in the organization in collaboration with and support from muti-disciplinary and department teams including operations, supply chain, human resources & legal. The position will also aid in internal and external communications with stakeholders, while developing and advancing corporate social responsibilities and employees’ engagement and awareness programs. The Sustainability Engineer may be called upon to lead interactions and communications with community interest groups, contractors, and consultants, at the direction of the Sustainability / ESG leadership.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• BS in Environmental and Social Sustainability (ESS), Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field from an accredited university is required.
• Advanced Degree is preferred.

ESSENTIAL WORK EXPERIENCES
• Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting Sustainable Development efforts, with particular focus on Operational Sustainability or Strategic CSR (preferably in a manufacturing setting).

Sustainability Analyst

The Sustainability Analyst will play a pivotal role in advancing Signature Aviation’s environmental goals by ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of sustainability data management. Partnering closely with the Director of Sustainability and Environmental Programs, this role will lead the collection, analysis, and reporting of key environmental metrics, including greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, energy consumption, and renewable energy usage. The analyst will enhance data workflows, deliver actionable insights that inform decarbonization strategies, and support enterprise-wide initiatives that strengthen Signature’s sustainability impact.
Responsibilities

Serve as a central liaison with internal stakeholders, including regional bases, FSC teams, and leadership, to collect, validate, and maintain sustainability data, ensuring accuracy for annual reporting.
Consolidate and manage data for global sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., GRESB, CDP) and Signature’s Annual Report.
Build business cases for sustainability projects by conducting data analysis aligned with environmental targets and financial requirements.
Track project costs and support the calculation, reconciliation, and verification of energy and emissions data.
Assist in securing funding by preparing and submitting applications for state and federal sustainability grants.
Monitor internal sustainability programs, compliance requirements, and regulatory trends; recommend enhancements where needed.
Support sustainability due diligence during acquisitions by assessing environmental baselines and integration considerations.
Research renewable energy market trends and contribute to procurement strategies that advance clean energy goals and optimize costs.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field.
Five years of relevant experience in sustainability, data management, or environmental program analysis; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Aviation industry experience preferred.

Sustainability Coordinator

The Central Park Conservancy, a private, not-for-profit organization, was founded in 1980 to rescue the Park, which had fallen into serious disrepair. Since then, the Conservancy has overseen the investment of over $1.6 billion in the restoration of the Park, which now hosts over 40 million visitors a year.

The Conservancy is one of the largest and most successful public private partnerships in New York City and is considered a major civic institution given its impact on the health and vibrancy of both the Park and the City. Job Summary

The Central Park Conservancy seeks a motivated individual with a background in environmental analysis and sustainability operations to support CPC’s first Environmental Sustainability Framework and related climate resiliency initiatives. Working with their manager and across departments, the Sustainability Coordinator will participate in the implementation of high-impact sustainability projects, monitor and report on progress of initiatives, formulate work plans, and perform and collaborate on research to advance the Environmental Sustainability Framework.

The Coordinator will work with their Manager to form relationships and coalitions involving multiple departments, partners, and stakeholders to implement projects and studies as necessary or assigned. Work across these initiatives may often be performed by employees that do not work directly for Operations Programs, requiring the team to engage in extensive collaboration for the successful implementation of the work.

Qualifications

3-5 years of applied experience in sustainability, environmental science, ecological design/engineering, conservation or related field.

Energy Resources Program Manager

An Energy Resources Program Manager is responsible for providing management oversight and direction to professional staff regarding: (1) the coordination and administration of energy resources’ (electric and/or natural gas) plans, the forecasting and acquisition of energy resources, and the negotiation of energy resource contracts; (2) the coordination and administration of the utility business development area activities including new business opportunities and customer relations; and (3) the coordination and administration of the natural gas utility and electric utility distribution system planning area activities including the development of periodic operational plans. The incumbent also maintains an active liaison with all organizations having energy resource related interests and provides advice to the Energy Resources Department and City management regarding energy resource policy matters. The incumbent provides management oversight and direction regarding the analysis of data, preparation of reports and plans, and the maintenance of energy management records in support of these functions; and oversees the provision of data, analysis, and support for utility management initiatives such as costs of service and rate design studies, budget preparation, and strategic planning. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, providing management oversight and direction on: researching, preparing, and implementing policy recommendations relating to energy resources issues as directed by upper management level staff; maintaining awareness of legislative and regulatory initiatives that may have significant impacts on Mesa’s energy resources; playing a lead role in negotiating energy resource related agreements and contracts with outside parties; and advocating on behalf of the City’s interests as directed at meetings with energy resources agencies. The Energy Resources Program Manager supervises professional, clerical, and/or paraprofessional staff. The incumbent is responsible for the performance of related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications Required. Any combination of training, education, and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, Economics, Finance, Environmental, Law, or related field. Seven or more years of experience in and knowledge of energy resource management, including responsibility and experience in more than one of the following areas: resource/generation dispatch, energy marketing, budgeting, transmission system planning and operations, natural gas interstate pipelines, resource planning, and procurement and acquisition of energy resources, including negotiation of energy resources contracts.

Preferred/Desirable Qualifications. Graduation from an accredited college or university with Master’s Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental, Economics, Finance, Business, Law, or a related field.

Regulatory Director, West

Vote Solar seeks a candidate committed to help advance sustainable, equitable solutions to the challenges facing solar and distributed energy resources expansion as the region moves toward a 100% carbon-free electricity system. The Regulatory Director – West position will be primarily focused on California and require both strategic thought leadership in advocating for technical solutions before state regulatory bodies, and collaborative coalition building and management in getting those solutions implemented. Reporting to the Deputy Program Director for the West, this person will work closely with the Vote Solar’s West Regional Team, including communications and grassroots organizing experts to advance concrete goals in regulatory and legislative venues. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented person who excels at building relationships and managing complicated projects.

The Regulatory Director, West role is based in California, Oregon or Washington State with a preference for the Bay Area or Sacramento in California. Senior Program Manager – Clean Transportation

The Senior Program Manager will play a key role in designing and overseeing initiatives to aid in accelerating the decarbonization of Massachusetts’ transportation sector. This position will be focused on demonstrating and bringing to market the core systems, technologies, and programs to make achieving the state’s 2050 net zero emissions goals a reality. MassCEC expects the responsibilities of this position to evolve and expand as MassCEC pursues future endeavors.

This work will involve engaging with and leveraging energy sector stakeholders, conceptualizing and designing initiatives and convenings, and implementing programs that effectively address barriers to energy sector decarbonization and historic inequities across the transportation sector. Specifically, the role will oversee programs relating to the decarbonization of the medium- and heavy-duty vehicle (MHDV) sector, including school bus electrification, technical assistance and planning for commercial vehicle electrification, and Regional Transit Authority decarbonization. The Senior Program Manager will engage in these sectors across many fronts, including with government agencies (including policymakers and regulators), investor- and municipally-owned utilities, community and advocacy groups, school officials, commercial businesses, consulting firms, and transportation industry stakeholders. The role will implement initiatives from MassCEC’s Clean Transportation strategy to identify and increase awareness of key barriers to MHDV decarbonization and foster new industry and stakeholder approaches to solutions-building in the sector. Furthermore, the Senior Program Manager will serve as a resource for MassCEC and other state agencies on matters related to MHDV decarbonization and other clean transportation initiatives.

The Senior Program Manager will report to the Senior Program Director but may also provide support to other members of the Executive Team. The Senior Program Manager will oversee the work of Program Managers, Program Administrators, and Fellows and will collaborate with staff across the organization.

Energy Education Coordinator

The Energy Education Coordinator (EEC) reports directly to the Director of Sustainable Design. The EEC will be primarily responsible for assisting in the implementation of broad-based, company-wide strategic energy and sustainability initiatives in addition to integrating effective energy management and sustainability throughout the portfolio with a focus on education residents and property managers about the energy systems installed at our properties, how they are used, and the cost implications of their use (especially as this relates to Time of Use Energy Rates and onsite renewable energy
systems. The (EEC) shall also help to ensure that the company’s sustainability efforts enhance business performance and supports the long-term interests of National Core. The position requires the ability to understand energy systems and water systems, data analysis associated with these systems, and how to communicate this information to residents and property managers. The (EEC) shall, as directed, visit National Core properties to meet with property management staff, with resident service coordinators, and with residents. The EEC shall also be responsible for helping to develop and implement a resident energy curriculum focused on energy use and energy cost awareness. This position will entail frequent coordination and collaboration with the Hope Through Housing (HTH) Resident Services team and may entail meetings with residents during non-working hours (when residents are home from work and able to attend meetings).

Manager, Resiliency and Sustainability

Responsibilities:
This position oversees the planning and coordination of the Climate Resilience and Sustainability capital program for Subways to safeguard NYCT system against climate change-related threats. Responsibilities include subway needs assessment and analysis; communicating and advocating subway needs to internal and external stakeholders, including planning, development, delivery, MTA, and FTA; managing acceptance and close-out of resiliency projects; resolving project-specific issues, including all funding and budget needs. Energy Management Specialist

This is professional, technical, and analytical work in support of the Office of Sustainability and Resilience. The Energy Management Specialist is responsible for the City’s energy management program and advises on energy goals, energy efficiency projects, and energy-related operations and maintenance activities; oversees energy performance tracking, analysis, and reporting; and monitors, advises, and forecasts energy budgets to drive down annual expenses associated with energy costs. Work includes collaboration with other departments and community organizations, and engaging with utility, service, and equipment providers to identify and monitor the performance of energy projects and programs. The Energy Management Specialist uses technical knowledge to develop and deliver the City’s energy activities and performance to various internal and external stakeholders including City Administration, City Council, other City departments, community organizations, utilities and other service providers, and the public. Work also includes developing online tools to effectively deliver information and resources to a variety of audiences. Example tasks include analysis of public building portfolio data to identify energy savings opportunities, data analysis to assess energy efficiency potential across different end-use sectors, and review of capital projects for energy efficiency and sustainability.

Responsibilities:

· Supports the City’s energy management program.

· Advises employees responsible for managing energy-using assets to achieve energy and cost savings.

· Participates in capital improvement and new construction project planning concerning facility design to ensure maximum resource efficiency and sustainable building practices.

· Leads energy awareness, education, and engagement activities, including at external events and meetings.
