It leverages existing incentives and support platforms, providing financial assistance for solar installations on single-family and multi-family homes, and supporting community solar projects.

Primary Duties:

Program Development & Management

Oversee Program operations, workflow, and reporting.
Create and maintain detailed project documentation, including work plans, income qualification, contractor eligibility, designs, cost estimates, competitive bids, installation/inspection records, participant eligibility files, and project closeout.
Monitor project pipeline to track progress, ensure timely and on-budget completion, maintain regulatory compliance, facilitate data collection, and ensure continuous improvement.

Coordinate with relevant teams, partners, and contractors to support completion of assigned activities and ensure smooth project execution.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with contractors and stakeholders, local government officials, community leaders, utilities, and key partners, aligning closely with the SFA Engagement Team.
Facilitate communication, program education, and collaboration among diverse stakeholders, including participation in community and participatory governance meetings.
Address stakeholder inquiries and concerns in a timely and effective manner.
Travel is required, up to 30% to various locations to support relationship building, project deployment, and project management.

Technical Guidance and Reporting

Lead site readiness, implementation, project permitting, and interconnection support activities.
Assist with SFA program eligibility, navigating solar incentives, and regulatory compliance within the SFA program.
Collects project data and generates reports on project progress, results, and challenges.
Supports the creation of performance reports and presentations.

Internal Collaboration & Strategy

Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of overall program strategies.
Share information and insights with other team members to ensure alignment and efficiency.
Support the implementation of cross-cutting program initiatives.
Display resilience, adaptability, and a constructive demeanor to effectively resolve intricate challenges and fulfill objectives through cooperative teamwork.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience in public administration, business administration, or related field.
Familiarity with the administration of federally funded programs (2 CFR Part 200) or solar energy projects.
Minimum 3- 5 years of experience managing programs or projects, preferably federally funded
Strong organizational and project management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders.

Energy and Sustainability Engineer

Montgomery College has an immediate need for a full-time Energy and Sustainability Engineer. The typical work schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. This is a grade 31, non-bargaining, exempt position. The position is located at Central Services, Rockville. Montgomery College promotes and creates a working and learning environment rooted in the basic tenets of fairness, belonging, and inclusiveness.

The Energy and Sustainability Engineer, under supervision and/or direction, is responsible for providing professional engineering services and expertise related to energy, utility management, sustainability, and resource conservation.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Investigate existing building energy consumption patterns and building benchmarking based upon U.S. EPA Energy Star Portfolio Management program.
Advise Energy Manager of Energy Conservation Opportunities (ECOs), perform building energy audits and computerized energy simulations based upon ASHRAE standards and supervise the work of professional engineering consultants and contractors.
Meet with campus facilities staff to understand operating conditions and discuss suggestions for maintenance and energy cost savings.
Prepare engineering design drawings, prepare bid packages for contracted work, and inspect construction to ensure compliance with plans.
Collaborates with Facilities staff in reviewing plans and specifications and inspecting construction to ensure that building designs are energy efficient, meet energy codes and standards, comply with legislatively mandated LEED certification, support sustainability goals, meet Building Energy Performance Standards (BEPS), and obtain utility incentives.
Participate in the preparation of Utility Master Plans and ensure College renovation and expansions comply with those plans.
Using computerized energy analysis and life cycle costing tools, prioritize, analyze, evaluate, select and implement cost-effective energy retrofits, and monitor results to ensure predicted performance.
Prepare engineering calculations, graphs and reports, to meet legislatively mandated requirements and inform management of resource conservation program progress.
Evaluate, revise, and prepare College engineering design guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required qualifications, training, certifications and experience:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related engineering field.
Four or more years of progressively responsible experience as a mechanical engineer working with building energy related systems.
Experience with building design simulation and ASHRAE standards.
The equivalent combination of education, training, certifications, or experience that demonstrates the ability to effectively perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
Knowledge of the principles, concepts and techniques of mechanical engineering as applied to energy, utility management, sustainability, and resource conservation programs.
Knowledge of best practices of integrated life cycle management (ILM), building utility and energy systems and resource conservation program outreach.
Knowledge in energy conversion, energy conservation, environmental effects and resource conservation practices.
Experience supporting, investigating, or integrating sustainability initiatives.
Ability to perform professional engineering work related to the planning, evaluation, design, measurement, and construction of building energy systems.
Eligible applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States and not require employer visa sponsorship.

Licenses:

State of Maryland Professional Engineering License (PE) license or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification with the training and demonstrated professional engineering experience, which allows acquiring a PE license upon completion of the minimum experience requirement for Engineer in Responsible Charge within one (1) year of employment.
A valid driver’s license is required and evidence of good driving record.

Preferred qualifications:

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Certification, WELL Accredited Professional (WELL AP), or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification.

Salary range: $79,746 – $127,571 annually. Initial salary placement for new hires falls between the minimum and midpoint of the range ($79,746 – $103,658 annually) based on relevant candidate experience and internal equity.

Energy Efficiency Engineer

DNV Energy Systems is seeking an Energy Efficiency Engineer with deep expertise in data center energy systems to support the Silicon Valley Power (SVP) EnergyEfficiency Incentive Program. This role involves conducting technical assessments, reviewing energy models and efficiency applications, performing on-site assessments, audits, and inspections, and delivering customer education. The Senior Energy Engineer will also manage projects, guide customers through the incentive process, and engage in community outreach to promote program participation and awareness.

This role is based at our DNV office in Santa Clara, CA, presenting a dynamic hybrid schedule where employees will typically spend three (3) days per week working from either a DNV office or client location/site. What You’ll Do

Develop a comprehensive understanding of the programs’ strategic direction regarding energy efficiency and the business activities of its customers

What is Required

Sustainability and Energy Manager

The Sustainability and Energy Manager will lead the identification, development, implementation, and evaluation of approved sustainability initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of MUSC and MUSC Health Charleston Division. This role provides strategic vision, planning, and communication to advance sustainability efforts across the organization and establishes processes and data reporting methods to comply with all required State of South Carolina and Federal reporting related to sustainability and energy conservation.

Job Summary:

The Sustainability and Energy Manager reports to the Executive Director of Utilities and Energy with primary responsibility to oversee programs focused on sustainability, strategic energy management, and climate resilience. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Managing assigned special projects

Identifying, submitting applications, and securing grants to defray expense in energy and resiliency efforts

Collecting data and preparing reports for internal executive committee, regulatory, and accrediting organization reporting

Sustainability and Resilience Manager

The Town of Groton Connecticut seeks a creative, collaborative, and motivated individual to fill the role of Sustainability and Resilience Manager in our Office of Planning and Development Services. POSITION OVERVIEW

The Sustainability and Resilience Manger leads a division of two employees in the Office of Planning and Development Services. This position is responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive Sustainability Action Plan that will serve as a framework for a coherent set of strategies, policies and programs dedicated to reducing the carbon footprint of governmental agencies and the Town as a whole. What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):

5+ years of energy efficiency design and implementation or ESCO experience
2+ years Demonstrated knowledge of lighting, motors, HVAC systems, building automation systems

Job Summary: The ReBuild Initiative at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design aims to develop a new approach to urban planning and design focused on transforming the built environment with a focus on sustainability and quality of life for all. ReBuild is an initiative launched by Dean Sarah Whiting and chaired by Maurice Cox, Emma Bloomberg Professor in Residence of Urban Planning and Design. It will accomplish its goal through multi-disciplinary research, engagement with practice, development of new curricular materials, and executive education training for city leaders in close collaboration with the Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership Initiative .

We are seeking an experienced, collaborative, and highly motivated individual to join our team as a ReBuild Initiative Research Analyst. The role will help develop a foundational analytic framework through literature review, faculty engagement, case-study research, and engagement with expert practitioners. This framework will serve as the foundation of the bi-annual executive education program for city leaders working on urban planning. The ambition is to make a transformative contribution to the field of urban planning and design by adopting a comprehensive approach connecting city planning, urban economics, climate studies, public policy and management, and organizational leadership, among other disciplines.

The Research Analyst will report to Professor Cox at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, under the guidance of David Giles, the Curriculum Development Director at the Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership Initiative.

Position Description: TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Developing the Framework: Research and Analysis

Conduct literature reviews in various relevant fields.
Analyze challenges and key priorities related to the built environment of mayors enrolled in the Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership mayors program.
Identify and/or conceptualize and write case-studies on current and historic comprehensive planning efforts in cities.
Collaborate with faculty to develop a vision and intellectual framework for the ReBuild initiative and executive education program.
Provide advanced subject-area expertise, analysis and interpretation to develop original content. Work with a high degree of autonomy and serve as a collaborator and thought partner.

Developing the Executive Education Program: Curricular materials

Contribute to the drafting of a seminal working paper outlining the project’s framework and methodology.
Conduct reviews of case study collections to identify relevant existing teaching materials.
Collaborate on development of teaching cases and educator guides as well as other curricular materials for executive education and degree programs.

Communication and Stakeholder Engagement

Prepare and organize focus groups and interviews with faculty at GSD and other schools at Harvard and expert practitioners in urban planning. Take notes and write-up takeaways.
Help develop communication materials, including designing and writing a brochure, webpage and social media content.

Basic Qualifications:

Advanced degree in Urban Planning, Public Policy, Urban Design, or a related field.

Demonstrated expertise and experience in the public sector, including urban planning, urban design, or public management is essential.

Excellent research, analytical, writing and visualization skills with a proven track record of publications, visual presentations, and/or curricular materials. Digital visualization skills are essential.

Experience working in or supporting learning environments.

Additional Qualifications and Skills:

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with academic and municipal stakeholders, including multiple faculty members and staff partners across university departments, units, and schools, as well as with numerous city officials in both the US and internationally.

Ability to manage, balance, and prioritize tasks, directions, and guidance from GSD and HKS faculty leads and their staff designees.

Excellent organizational and project management skills and attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal skills as well an ability to communicate well, both visually and verbally.

Efficiency Programs Specialist

Job Summary: This position is responsible for development, implementation, administration, monitoring, and measurement of HBPW’s Energy Waste Reduction (EWR), beneficial electrification (BE), and water conservation programs for residential and commercial customers. This role also supports the implementation of Holland’s Community Energy Plan.

Essential Duties

Develop annual work plans and promotion strategies to reach program objectives and oversee implementation.
Compile, maintain, and analyze customer participation data.
Present and represent HBPW customer programs at community events and develop new event ideas.
Prepare reports, newsletters, presentations, and content for marketing and website material.
Process requisitions for program and departmental expenditures, including incentive and rebate checks.
Act as the liaison with contractors, trade allies, and community organizations.
Monitor contractors for satisfactory performance and budgetary compliance.
Serve as subject matter expert to support Customer Service on EWR, BE, and water conservation programs.
Perform all other tasks as assigned.

Essential Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, sustainability, business, engineering, political science, marketing, or finance; or equivalent education and experience.
Strong analytical skills. The ability to analyze data, draw sound conclusions, and make recommendations.
Effective and professional written and oral communication skills.
Computer skills to effectively utilize records management software, word processing, database, and spreadsheet software applications.
Interpersonal and presentation skills to effectively communicate with organizational officials and the community in situations requiring tact and patience.
Interpersonal skills to work productively with all levels of the HBPW staff independently and in teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in product, program, or process management.
Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge along with database management experience.
Familiarity with the electric and/or water utility industry and environmental sustainability principles.
Event management and social media experience.
Effective workplace skills as demonstrated through WorkKeys assessments (Workplace Documents – 5, Applied Math – 5, Graphic Literacy – 5).

This position offers the potential for flexibility to work remotely up to 40% per week.
