STATEMENT OF ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Schedules and conducts residential energy and repair audits to identify energy conservation, health and safety, and repair deficiencies; analyzes and resolves technical problems and questions.
Uses diagnostic tools to evaluate homes.
Designs a cost-effective work plan to address needs and deficiencies identified in the audit; prepares, issues and negotiates work orders.
Writes specifications, prepares cost estimates, solicits bids when necessary, reviews and approves bids.
Negotiates changes to the work plan based on contractors’ requests; monitors and evaluates the work of contractors; resolve client complaints and mediates contractor/client disputes.
Identifies and mitigates building codes, land use, landlord/tenant act and public health variances.
Manages inter-agency cooperative projects.
Inspects residences to ensure satisfactory completion of contracted work in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
Educates clients on energy conservation principles and practices.
Participates in the development of the program’s policies and procedures.
Trains contractors and crew in new technologies and techniques.
Updates and maintains computer entries of weatherization unit’s activities; prepares audit reports.
Serves as liaison between clients, contractors, federal, state and county government agencies relating to energy conservation methods, practices and project development.
Attends and participates in a variety of meetings, committees and task forces.
Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Two (2) year degree in construction management, energy management or related field; AND two (2) years of experience in residential building construction related to energy conversation or sustainability; OR, any equivalent combination of training and/or experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities. Must pass job related tests.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
A valid Washington State Driver’s License is required for employment.

Applicants must obtain certification as a Building Performance Institute (B.P.I.) Building Analyst (BA), Energy Auditor (EA) or a Quality Control Inspector (QCI) within 60 days of employment.

Applicants must obtain certifications in the Department of Energy Mold Protocol training and the Montana State University “Lead Based Paint Work Safety” or equivalent Lead RRP certification within 30 days of employment.

Senior Manager, Policy and Programs

Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships (NEEP) is a regional nonprofit that drives regional collaboration and best practices in energy efficiency so the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region can lower energy bills, reduce air and carbon pollution, create jobs, and improve energy and climate resilience.

A Day In The Life Of This Role:

In this role, you will work with a wide array of NEEP stakeholders, including state energy offices, utilities, energy efficiency program administrators, advocates, manufacturers, distributors, contractors, consultants, and nonprofit organizations across the region to facilitate policy and program implementation for buildings and industry. Priority topics currently include advancing energy efficiency and building decarbonization policies at the state and regional levels through avenues such as energy efficiency portfolios, utility planning, clean heat standards, and other state-level policies. The Senior Manager will be expected to respect and uphold NEEP’s core values. The Senior Manager reports to the Director, Policy and Programs.

The starting salary range for this role is $90,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Renewable Energy Engineer

Resilience Program Supervisor

Are you passionate about climate resilience, sustainability, and building a stronger, more adaptive community? We’re looking for an experienced and strategic Sustainability and Resilience Supervisor to help lead the County’s efforts in securing and managing funding for transformative climate and sustainability initiatives. This role serves as a subject matter expert for County departments, municipalities, regional stakeholders, and civic groups to advance the County’s resilience and sustainability programs. The selected candidate will embrace collaborative partnership-building and hands-on project and grant management to drive resilience efforts across our communities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Grant Management
Develop compelling grant proposals and budget narratives to secure federal, state, and private funding. Research and assess funding opportunities, positioning the County as a competitive applicant for major resilience and sustainability investments.

• Strategic Collaboration
Lead cross-sector collaboration with County departments, municipalities, non-profits, and community stakeholders to identify needs, develop initiatives, and manage grant-funded projects. Supervise the coordination of meetings, workshops, and community trainings.

• Program & Project Supervision
Oversee climate resilience and sustainability research, pilot initiatives, communications content, and technical project components. Supervise project feasibility studies, technical documentation reviews, and event planning for stakeholder engagement.

• Operations & Compliance Oversight
Supervise grant compliance and tracking systems. Ensure adherence to County policies, procedures, and reporting requirements. Coordinate efforts with lobbyists and government affairs teams to align strategies with evolving funding landscapes.

• Staff & Performance Management
Provide leadership and direction for staff, including onboarding, coaching, training, and career development. Develop program staffing strategies to implement and manage awarded projects.

• Communication & Advocacy
Present to senior officials and decision-makers to advocate for climate initiatives. Develop and implement strategic communications and outreach to enhance visibility and community engagement.

• Technology Proficiency
Use software tools and IT solutions to support data analysis, communication, and reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires qualified applicants to possess one of the following:

• Doctoral Degree in one of the physical or natural sciences, environmental studies, engineering, or related field, or

• Master’s Degree in one of the physical or natural sciences, environmental studies, engineering, or related field, and a minimum of one (1) year of experience in resilience or sustainability programs/initiatives, or

• Bachelor’s Degree in one of the physical or natural sciences, environmental studies, engineering, or related field, and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in resilience or sustainability programs/initiatives, or

• An unrelated Bachelor’s Degree or a related Associate’s Degree and a minimum of four (4) years of experience in resilience or sustainability programs/initiatives, or

• Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification and a minimum of six (6) years of experience in resilience or sustainability programs/initiatives.

Highly preferred qualifications for this position include experience:

• Developing successful grant funding proposals, grant management, and grant administration

Job Summary

Power Generation – Renewable Energy is seeking a Project Manager to support solar operations. This position entails the management of various commercial aspects of our utility scale solar and storage projects located in Virginia, Ohio, North Carolina, South Carolina, and California.

Responsibilities:

Provide project management leadership to ensure the successful operation and management of a portfolio of renewable energy ventures.

Coordinate environmental/safety compliance projects and off-taker agreement requirements to ensure performance excellence across the solar fleet.

Assist with financial forecasting and performance summaries and provide reporting to leadership.

Support the project team and assist in resolving commercial and warranty issues.

Collaborate with the site management team, partners, vendors, and internal resources such as (legal, energy marketing, engineering, accounting, regulatory compliance, tax and environmental) to achieve maximum site profitability.

Coordinate contract negotiation, modification, and execution.

Manage relationships with all stakeholders including landowners and local, state, and federal regulators.

Assist with the management and monitoring of scope, schedule, budget and risk of onsite projects.

Perform site visits and provide direction/feedback directly to service providers and contractors.

Work with internal environmental and safety teams to ensure compliance at solar facilities.

Develop and monitor project Operating and Maintenance (O&M) budgets and monitor key financial metrics.

Coordinate dialog and information sharing between the site and its marketing agent to aid in the understanding of how operational issues may impact project output and revenues.

Liaise with technical project managers and O&M operations support teams regarding work plans, schedules, and work completion.

Support representation of Dominion’s interests in ISO stakeholder groups to ensure renewable energy assets are fairly treated by the marketplace.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:

7 + years of directly related experience required.
Prior experience in contract negotiation, partnerships, project financing and budget development.
Demonstrated knowledge of renewable energy generation.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with a variety of people with various levels of understanding of renewable energy, to influence without authority.
Ability to direct and manage work of contractors/vendors.
Ability to lead and manage multiple work fronts.
Ability to work effectively in a teamed environment and interact with internal and external staff.
