What you will be doing:

Director, Sustainability

Reporting to the Senior Director, Sustainability, the Director will lead the KDP sustainable packaging and product stewardship platform, including the Company’s zero plastic waste agenda. By combining a technical understanding of packaging and product life cycle management and business acumen, the Director will play a highly visible, cross-functional leadership role internally and represent KDP externally in leadership forums and collaboration platforms across the industry. This leader will build, promote, and foster the success of relevant industry coalitions including existing and new platforms. The leader will also participate in and provide guidance to corresponding cross-functional KDP project teams.

What you will do:

Partner to deliver on 2025 packaging sustainability targets and develop the roadmap and requirements for future sustainable packaging goals and targets.

Director of Sustainability and Recycling

The Director of Sustainability and Recycling, reporting into the Procurement organization, is responsible for driving the strategic direction of Nestle’s sustainable sourcing and recycling programs. This includes overseeing climate/regenerative agriculture, human rights, animal welfare, and recycling/circularity sourcing strategies. The Leader will manage a team of professionals and collaborate with Procurement Business Partners, cross-functional leads, external stakeholders, and upstream suppliers to deliver solutions for business and environmental and social governance (ESG) commitments in packaging sustainability and recycling. Field Energy Efficiency Auditor/Engineer

The Field Energy Efficiency Auditor/Engineer will be conducting residential energy performance audits in accordance with Building Performance Institute (BPI) standards and New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) program requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building science, energy efficiency, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct Energy Audits: Perform comprehensive residential energy performance audits, including blower door tests, combustion safety tests, and infrared thermography, to identify energy-saving opportunities.

Program Manager II

The Program Manager II at NEEA is the business manager of one or more programs that transform markets for energy efficient products, services, and practices. They are responsible for assuring the overall design, planning, resourcing, and execution of assigned market transformation programs. This role will collaborate with the Manager of Program Management to oversee NEEA’s Heat Pump Water Heater program, which is nationally recognized and represents a significant portion of NEEA’s overall portfolio. The Program Manager oversees the planning, resourcing, and execution of assigned market transformation programs, aligning with the product group strategy defined by the Market Transformation Manager. They work collaboratively to ensure that resources are available and effectively deployed to achieve the business objectives of NEEA’s market transformation portfolio. They also coordinate and lead cross-functional team efforts to advance and implement market transformation programs and are accountable for delivering the associated business results.

This position is based in the Portland, OR metro area, with a hybrid work location. We are looking for candidates who can meet the requirement of working at least 2 days per week onsite at NEEA’s office location. Field Technician

The Field Technician is responsible for performing or assisting energy efficiency tasks which may include audits, installations, service and inspections. This individual will also recommend energy saving practices to customers. This individual will maintain a safe working environment for CMC employees and customers at all times, providing a high level of customer service and education for each service or installation performed. This position will require traveling throughout the Williamsport, PA region.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Conduct detailed audits and/or assessments for customers as determined by program contract.

Senior Energy Manager

The Senior Energy Manager will sit within the Sustainability Planning Unit of the Capital Plan Management Department, which is responsible for strategic and capital planning on all sustainability-related projects. Working closely with the Director of Strategic Planning for Sustainability, internal stakeholders, and in close partnership the NYC Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) Division of Energy Management (DEM), the Senior Energy Manager will primarily be charged with helping to develop and oversee a portfolio-wide energy management and sustainability program to support decarbonization targets. This includes close cooperation and coordination with multiple stakeholders on a wide variety of areas including budget management and energy efficiency program development and coordination in new and existing buildings to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption at City schools.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the Energy Manager are expected to include, but are not limited to, the following:

Support development of plans to meet the City’s emissions and energy reduction goals. In conjunction with the Architecture & Engineering and Construction Management Departments and the SCA’s Office of Design and Construction Innovation, identify energy conservation measures that can be implemented at scale, and support the SCA’s contribution to the City’s emissions reduction mandates, including compliance with targets set as part of the Local Law 97 Implementation Action Plan. Provide technical inputs to energy and carbon neutrality planning efforts. Working with internal and external stakeholders, support energy policy and planning activities such as responding to new and revised local laws, and other demands.
Manage funding to ensure the SCA has access to appropriate project implementation mechanisms. Manage allocated energy funding resources – including supporting the execution of Intra-City agreements if needed, reprogramming of unspent project funding, and providing input on funding requests.
Support the development and implementation of energy efficiency and/or clean energy projects.
Project development: In close collaboration with the SCA’s Design, Construction, and Innovation Management team, provide input on capital project planning to identify and pursue energy project opportunities. Advocate for and support installation of large-scale clean energy and innovative technology projects across the SCA’s portfolio. Review and make recommendations on proposed energy efficiency projects. This will include reviewing scope reports for electrification projects and providing feedback to the design team.
Project implementation: support the management of a portfolio of energy efficiency capital projects to ensure proper, timely, and cost-efficient completion. Provide technical and administrative oversight to project managers and staff on ongoing energy projects. Help identify major risks and project delivery issues when projects are not meeting their anticipated scope, schedule, or budget.
Manage energy and GHG emissions reduction tracking, performance management and reporting. Oversee data collection and tracking required to ensure accurate reporting in a range of areas, including overall energy project status, estimated energy and GHG reductions, carbon capital budgeting, etc. Lead and/or support reporting of project progress and milestones to SCA leadership and/or other City stakeholders (e.g., DCAS DEM). Review or perform calculations as needed to verify the reasonableness and accuracy of estimated energy usage reductions, energy cost savings, and avoided emissions for proposed energy efficiency projects.
Spearhead strategic planning on innovative sustainability solutions. Assess research and reports presented to the SCA for feasibility.
Innovative Solutions. Serve as the liaison from the Capital Plan Management department on internal and external discussions about innovative energy solutions and help set up the implementation framework for any unique solutions that are viable.
Evaluate proposed energy conservation measures for individual projects. Evaluate energy conservation and resiliency measures proposed by design teams to determine whether the benefits justify use of available funding.
Provide overall support for the SCA’s and City’s mission. Participate in ad hoc and special projects as needed. Act as a resource/subject matter expert on the SCA’s energy management and sustainability work.
Mentor junior team members and interns as needed.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree plus six (6) years of full-time experience in project management, design, construction, operations, administration, architectural, or mechanical/plumbing estimation or a related field; four years must have been in a supervisory (supervision of subordinate employees) or management (manage a function, unit, or process) capacity; or a satisfactory combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education/Skills:

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, architecture, applied science, environmental science, public policy or related field
Familiarity with energy management, design and implementation of programs, or environmental research
Understanding of building energy systems and energy efficiency technologies
Knowledge of energy savings calculations and emissions calculation methodologies
Certified Energy Manager (CEM) a plus.

As Senior Manager, Environmental Sustainability, you will be responsible for managing specific programs and initiatives within the company’s environmental sustainability efforts, working to ensure progress towards commitments and goals. You will collaborate closely with Finance, Places, Product, Sourcing, Legal, and subject matter expert teams across the business to advance environmental sustainability practices. Additionally, you will play a critical role in supporting regulation-readiness for environmental-related topics.

Your Impact

As a Senior Manager, Environmental Sustainability, your contributions will be essential in driving key environmental programs and supporting Palo Alto Networks overall sustainability strategy. Your key areas of impact will include:

Contribute to the implementation of the environmental sustainability strategy that aligns with corporate goals and sustainability commitments.

Lead the implementation of key initiatives (often in partnership with internal business stakeholders) to advance sustainability practices and progress, including reducing GHG emissions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability practices into business operations, supply chain management, and product lifecycle management.

Develop, manage and/or strengthen practices and reporting to support regulation-readiness, including California Climate Disclosures, EU Corporate Sustainability Report Directive and EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive.

Manage and execute key aspects of environmental sustainability reporting to external stakeholders including CDP, EcoVadis, and customer inquiries.

Build environmental sustainability capabilities with key stakeholders, including being able to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.

Stay up-to-date with emerging environmental trends, technologies, and regulations to drive continuous improvement in our sustainability initiatives.

Your Experience

8-12+ years of related experience.

Strong expertise in greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting, assessing climate-related risks and opportunities, and familiarity with frameworks underlying European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).

Proven track record in developing and managing project plans, effectively engaging necessary stakeholders, managing evolving timelines, and ensuring accuracy and completeness of reporting.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with stakeholders of multiple levels; collaborative and clear communicator.

Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to present metrics, explain findings, and articulate issues and challenges together with proposed solutions.

Thrives in a fast-paced environment and nimbly adapts to meet various stakeholder needs.

Ability to multi-task and quickly prioritize projects and work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
