Responsibilities

Champion the financial success of the SEM Business Unit, driving profitability and sustainable growth.

Develop and implement recovery plans with Program Managers for off-schedule and unexpected outcomes, addressing technical challenges, performance shortfalls, budget constraints, and client issues.
Partner with the Outreach Manager and team to ensure successful program recruitment and engagement.
Collaborate with Learning and Development to mentor, train, and develop SEM staff, including Program Managers, SEM Coaches, and Program Specialists.
Work closely with the Project Engineering Team and subcontractors, setting clear expectations and processes for Technical Leads and other key roles within SEM delivery teams.
Identify and seize high-value opportunities with Strategy & Products and SEM Program Managers to enhance key metrics in SEM delivery and program design, including increased site energy savings, cost-effectiveness, energy savings persistence, adoption of energy management practices, client satisfaction, and profitability.
Collaborate with Corporate Energy Management to refine Cascade energy management methods, improving both CEM and SEM.
Empower Customer Engagement and Marketing teams with the information they need to:
Estimate time and budget for delivering innovative SEM solutions.
Participate in marketing, sales, thought leadership, and business development efforts, providing practical insights on new ideas.
Leverage Cascade’s market position to influence SEM Collaborative efforts nationwide.
Support trade conference planning, papers, and presentations for SEM-related initiatives, potentially participating as a panelist or expert.
Collaborate with Gazebo and Strategy & Products teams to fully utilize Gazebo’s capabilities, create platform-first approaches to energy management, and support Gazebo’s evolution to enhance and differentiate current and future SEM delivery.

This is a full-time, exempt position and can be located anywhere in the U.S. This position will require approximately 20% travel, one to three days duration. Weekend travel is rare, but possible.
Qualifications

Applicants for this role are required to have:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, engineering, or other related field of study, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Solid background in industrial and/or commercial energy efficiency
Five or more years of direct experience managing team performance, scopes of work, and/or contracts that deliver energy efficiency in the industrial and commercial sector

Sustainability Senior Analyst

As a Sustainability Senior Analyst, you will lead sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives across the Americas region within DHL’s Corporate Real Estate (CRE) function. This role is at the heart of our environmental strategy—driving the implementation of sustainability programs, optimizing asset performance, and embedding energy conservation into real estate operations.

You’ll play a key role in supporting our global sustainability objectives through data-driven decision-making, strategic project leadership, and stakeholder engagement—all while promoting responsible and efficient real estate practices that minimize our environmental impact.

Your tasks:

Lead and implement energy efficiency and sustainability projects across the CRE portfolio in the Americas.

Your profile:

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field. PMP certification a plus.
5–7 years of hands-on experience in sustainability, facilities or energy management, preferably in a corporate real estate or logistics environment.

Associate Manager, Sustainability

As the Associate Manager, Sustainability, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of sustainability disclosures to support our mission to Cultivate a Better World. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across Operations, Finance, Facilities, and Marketing, ensuring the sustainability team meets sustainability goals and regulatory requirements while effectively communicating our progress.
WHAT YOU’LL DO

Lead the planning and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with emerging sustainability regulatory disclosures and manage voluntary disclosure reporting to include the Annual Sustainability Report, CDP disclosures, TNFD, state disclosures and more.

Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Sourcing and Procurement, Legal, Investor Relations Human Resources, Operations, and Development for data collection and process development.

Support materiality assessments as part of the process for identifying key issues for reporting and to inform business priorities.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

∙ Five years of full-time, paid, professional experience in energy or utility management, environmental science or engineering which has involved developing and implementing the energy management program; analyzing the infrastructure to implement effective energy and sustainability practices as well as developing and managing energy conservation programs and energy budgets for a large school district or organization, at least two of which have been in a supervisory or lead capacity.

Sustainability Coordinator

Purchase College’s Facilities Department manages over 500 acres of property working to embed sustainability into all aspects of campus by empowering students and community members to protect our shared environment.

Job Description:
The Sustainability Coordinator is responsible for managing both existing sustainability initiatives and developing new initiatives consistent with College’s Strategic Plan and New York State Executive Orders. This position will work with internal and external organizations to promote sustainability goals and initiatives.

Environmental Sustainability Instructor

The STEP Academy at Baruch College is seeking to fill a summer instructor position for the high school program. The course will introduce high school students to an intensive science subject for a month. The goal of the course is to engage students in an exploratory science experience, not provided in a standard classroom. Instructors will prepare students to participate in the annual showcase displaying research posters, projects, and/or oral presentation.

The Summer 2025 Program will run for 16 sessions: July 7 – July 31 from 9am-2pm (Mondays through Thursdays ONLY).

Schedule: Monday through Thursday from 9am to 2pm + weekly one hour faculty meeting
Salary: The pay rate is $45 an hour for a total of $4,500. This includes 72 hours of instruction (including lunch) and 28 hours for campus orientation, weekly staff meetings, and prep work.

Zero Waste Associate Sustainability

Position Summary: Perform the necessary work to support the recycling, composting, and other waste diversion programs to drive the Johnson County Community College (JCCC) goal to become a zero-waste campus where the diversion of materials from reaching the landfill is at or beyond 90%.

Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong problem solving/troubleshooting skills.
Understand and relate effectively to diverse groups including faculty, students, administrators, supervisors, support staff, and contractors in order to translate college’s sustainability requirements into operational terms.
Ability to conduct duties in a friendly, discreet and professional manner.

Sustainability Advisor

POSITION SUMMARY: The Sustainability Advisor develops and implements recycling and diversion programs and assists in the promotion of the Company’s recycling efforts. The Sustainability Advisor works directly with the Company’s customer base via telephone, onsite visits, events, trade shows and outreach educational programs to identify and educate them on proper recycling techniques to improve the quality of materials received at our Recycling Center(s).

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitors and evaluates existing commercial and special event recycling programs and makes recommendations for educational and service improvement.
Coordinates and provides input and strategic guidance regarding the customer collection schedule with the Operations department.
Creates, develops and implements food waste recycling outreach programs and collateral material for use in promoting food waste education, recycling, and diversion to schools and businesses within the market service area. Drafts, organizes and conducts classroom presentations and responds to inquiries about recycling and other waste reduction programs.
Drafts, compiles and disseminates communications to customers to assist them in eliminating materials that contaminate recycling waste.
Creates or assists in the creation of the Company newsletter, semi-annual/annual reports, brochures, pamphlets, ads, slide shows, and other related Company publications for internal and external use.
Performs commercial waste audits/assessments and recommends service levels for waste and recycling. Conducts and participates in waste characterization studies upon request. Provides customers written reports of findings and recommendations.
Compiles statistics for contractual food waste recycling tonnage reports, analyzes data for accuracies and trends. Analyzes monthly reports on outreach activities and maintains a calendar of reporting deadlines.
Participates in researching the availability of grants and other funding sources for recycling and waste reduction projects and assists in securing applicable funds.
Builds relationships and increases Company visibility to promote recycling and diversion programs through participation in community events, trade shows, chamber of commerce meetings and other applicable events.
Organizes and completes proactive scheduled phone block activities to establish initial and follow-up appointments with customer decision-makers.
Utilizes the Company’s tracking and customer based tools on a daily basis, schedules and documents all activities, and develops robust information profiles on current customer base to facilitate and ensure proper recycling habits.
Schedules and conducts tours of local transfer stations, landfills or other facilities.
Performs other job-related duties, as required
