CFGS is seeking candidates for the position of Regional Program Manager, School Energy Efficient IAQ Network (Midwest) to support the success of a five-year, EPA-funded effort to improve indoor air quality (IAQ) and energy efficiency in K-12 school systems. Working closely with the Program Director and building off CFGS’ long-running and successful models, Regional Program Managers will build regional Energy Efficient Indoor Air Quality (EE IAQ) Peer Learning Networks within the Midwest region of the U.S. and provide regionally-relevant opportunities for training and technical assistance to develop and put into practice comprehensive, district-level EE IAQ Management Plans.

What you’ll be doing:

Establish a regional Energy Efficient IAQ (EE IAQ) Peer Learning Network, made up of regional school system staff working on IAQ and energy efficiency, within the Midwest region of the U.S.
Develop and implement a plan for recruiting, onboarding, and retaining network members, in partnership with the Program Director.
Support network members’ development of comprehensive, district-level EE IAQ Management Plans by providing regionally-relevant training (virtual and in-person), technical assistance, educational materials, and communications.
Travel within focal region to conduct meetings and trainings with district staff, including hosting/delivering two in-person trainings for regional network per year.
Build networks so that the majority of participants serve low-income, disadvantaged, Tribal, and/or small to medium-sized communities and districts.
Within region, manage an annual EE IAQ Fellowship Program for ten district-level staff to receive personalized support via professional development, certification programs, one-on-one coaching, and support from industry experts.
Support all logistics of the regional Fellowship Program, including recruitment, one-on-one coaching, and administering travel and professional development reimbursements.
Manage annual mini-grant funding opportunity to help regional Fellows overcome barriers associated with developing and putting into practice comprehensive, district-level EE IAQ Management Plans.
Meet program goals for regional network participation, fellowship program support, local training events, and school district staff actions to improve IAQ and energy efficiency.
Hire and supervise two Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) Climate Corps Summer Fellows annually to support regional programming, school district outreach, and provide assistance to regional Peer Learning Network and EE IAQ Fellows.
Supervise one year-long intern annually to support regional programming.
Submit quarterly and annual progress reports to the Program Director to meet EPA reporting requirements.
Administer and analyze feedback surveys, focus groups, and other feedback tools with regional network members, Fellows, and interns to ensure the program is achieving its aims.
Working with Program Director and other national Center for Green Schools staff, inform the content and/or focus of routine EE IAQ virtual trainings, educational materials (guides, templates, fact sheets, case studies), and media communications based on regional examples, priorities, and stories. Adapt training and materials for a regional audience and assist in the development and deployment of train-the-trainer modules, as needed.
Collaborate effectively with the Program Director, national Center for Green Schools staff, and Regional Program Managers in other focal regions
Promote resources and opportunities at regional events and conferences, including speaking and presenting, as needed.
Attend and support logistics at the annual Green Schools Conference and national school district training.

What you need to bring:

Bachelor’s degree
Experience with and in-depth knowledge of day-to-day operational needs of K-12 schools or school districts and knowledge of the sustainable built environment and green building practices
Minimum 5 years of work experience required; school indoor air quality (IAQ) and energy efficiency, environmental health and safety, facility management, energy management, organizational sustainability, and/or organizational change management or a related field
Existing K-12 school district connections and experiences within region
Experience building, developing, and supporting strong peer networks

Environmental Management Representative

Resilience and Adaptation Coordinator

The Hudson Valley Regional Council (HVRC) is seeking applicants for a full-time Resilience and Adaptation Coordinator. HVRC is an organization of county governments comprising Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster and Westchester counties. It is one of over 650 such councils in the United States. HVRC helps municipalities access and understand information and grants from the state and federal level, and provides technical assistance on environmental and sustainability programs, economic development, materials management, and water resources. Our programmatic areas are funded by the US Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration (US EDA), US Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA), New York Department of Environmental Conservation and its Hudson River Estuary Program, and the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority. HVRC also receives support from the county governments of the Mid-Hudson Region.

The successful applicant will carry out tasks related to the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation’s (DEC) Climate Smart Coordinator Services Program for the seven-county Mid-Hudson Region.

The Resilience and Adaptation Coordinator will primarily be responsible for delivering technical assistance and guidance to local governments seeking support for climate vulnerability assessments and climate adaptation planning efforts. The role will also include supporting municipalities on Climate Smart Communities Certification, including greenhouse gas emissions inventories and climate action plans.

Duties include:

Support local governments in conducting climate vulnerability assessments, developing climate adaptation plans and evaluating policies for climate resilience.
Assist local governments in relevant research related to planning, zoning and emergency preparedness.

Must be knowledgeable about climate adaptation planning, NY State local government operations, and NYSDEC and NYSERDA programs. Must be collaborative, passionate, able to work independently within programmatic structures, and motivated to make new contacts and engage communities. Must have strong public speaking and writing skills as well as experience with outreach and engagement to a variety of stakeholders, including clarity of presentation and facility with gauging audiences. Must possess proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams; Access a plus); facility with GIS, Salesforce Customer Relations Management system and social media welcomed. Professional working proficiency in Spanish is a plus. Internship Daily Operations:

Regularly update Climate & Energy Program excel records including CEF investment mapping data and Clean Investment Monitor (CIM) data.
Respond to relevant CEF emails and pull data as necessary for CEP members.

Internship Meetings and Events:

Conduct research on technology companies and investors in US, Europe (including UK), and China.

Internship Short-Term Projects:

Enel North America works closely with businesses and institutions to develop, execute, and continually refine a holistic energy strategy designed to achieve desired outcomes through a suite of solutions and services. Energy analysts are tasked with architecting these strategies, working in tandem with internal resources on their delivery, and becoming an energy expert in their assigned region(s) and or commodity. Successful managers have a firm understanding of the underlying market fundamentals, marker drivers, renewable market conditions, generation footprint, regulatory environment, utility cost models, etc.

What You’ll Do at Enel North America:
Key responsibilities may include:

• Working in tandem with internal Energy Procurement Managers and Advisors to deliver deep technical, regional, regulatory, and commodity expertise to a portfolio of clients.

• Producing both recurring and ad hoc analytics, and ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction

• Developing regional expert on assigned energy market(s): domestic U.S. natural gas and power market

• Leveraging internal tools to support and deliver customer analytics: energy budgets, variance to budget, savings from default service, renewable PPA and VPPA analysis, distributed energy resource assessment (CHP, onsite solar, etc.), Var analysis, load profiles, mark to market reporting, tariff analysis, pricing indices, procurement summary analytics and ad hoc requests

• Create, enhance, and maintain deliverable models (Excel and Software based)

• Attend customer meetings as needed

• Write and report energy market content for internal and external market commentary

• Develop process/tool improvement projects

• Prospective customer work as requested

• Assist the Product team in analyzing new supply markets, concepts, and commodities as requested • Accountable for leading and contributing to structured close-out and data management process for procurement software

• Assist in the bid analysis for customer RFPs

• Train other members of the Enel X organization as needed

• Attend skills training to meet skills requirements and maintain certifications Learn other Enel X products as needed, including software services and energy services

Who You Are:

•Working market knowledge of the US natural gas system

• Some market knowledge in US deregulated energy markets

• Excellent computer skills and a strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Strong Spreadsheet skills, experience with database queries and cost modeling

• Technical writing experience

• Background in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics or Energy and derivatives markets • Budgeting, forecasting and price structuring

• Excellent attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Education:

• Minimum 2 years of power or gas price structuring, risk management or analysis experience

• Knowledge of electric cost components and RTO pricing in the US energy markets

• Ability to read tariffs and recreate electric and natural gas utility costs

• Accounting, finance, and budgeting experience

• Natural gas or electric scheduling experience

What You’ve Accomplished:
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a corporate setting preferably in the power industry. Natural gas experience a plus.
