Job Summary:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Under the supervision of the Director, the Climate and Sustainability Program Coordinator manages key programs and activities and contributes to the operation of Emory’s Office of Sustainability Initiatives (OSI) with a focus on student engagement.
Provides leadership on climate and sustainability data gathering and reporting as well as contributes to communications, marketing, and engagement efforts that advance Emory’s sustainability efforts across the enterprise (University and Healthcare).
Facilitates the completion of Emory’s annual greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) inventory and related surveys, from data collection to output analysis.
Conducts necessary research and participates in relevant working groups to further Emory’s understanding and calculation of scope 3 emissions.
Grows and maintains Emory’s knowledge of the carbon offsets global landscape and works toward establishing an offsets program for Emory-sponsored air travel that has local and social justice benefits.
Establishes or improves data collection systems and assists OSI with data collection and the organization of information and submissions for annual reporting for Emory’s memberships in AASHE STARS, The Listening Post and Ivy+, Climate Leadership Network, United Nations Race to Zero and other institutional commitments.
Takes the initiative to develop programs that engage Emory’s graduate and undergraduate student population in all nine units of the University.
In partnership with the Director, supports the administrative and programmatic operation of OSI’s internship program, including recruiting and hiring interns, onboarding, assigning tasks and activities, facilitating meetings, and other tasks as needed.
Provides leadership and coordination of special events in which OSI has a leadership role or independent participation (e.g., student orientation, Earth Month).
Represents the sustainability initiative at school-wide forums and area sustainability committees, initiates and maintains relationships, and serves as a liaison with various campus, local, and national groups.
Assists in responding to requests for participation in campus activities (e.g., class lectures, student organization events, etc).
Contributes to OSI’s communications and marketing efforts, including, writing articles, developing social media content, and supporting layout and design of reports and other deliverables.
Plans and leads meetings, identifies priorities, delegates action items, manages campaigns and outcomes, and communicates with team about campus-wide efforts.
Contributes to Office of Sustainability Initiatives strategy, communications, and programmatic efforts.
Performs other related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A master’s degree and one year of sustainability-related experience, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Three years of experience is preferred.
Excellent communication, organizational, project management, outreach and presentation skills.
Experience with website and communications management, demonstrated proficiency in social media and willingness to learn and expand existing skillsets.
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and a desire to learn additional software as needed.
A demonstrated interest in and knowledge of justice, equity, diversity and inclusion, as it relates to advancing sustainability.

Community Engagement Specialist – Energy Programs

ICF is seeking a field-based Associate Account Specialist to take a significant role in the implementation of commercial energy efficiency programs in Baltimore, Maryland. The selected candidate will be responsible for recruiting participants from Environmental Justice (EJ) communities into our utility incentive programs. The candidate will develop and implement engagement strategies with the goal of increasing the number of energy efficiency projects and participants within identified communities. We place a premium on creativity, an ability to work independently, but also to function as part of a team, a drive to succeed, and a commitment to client satisfaction. This position is open to Maryland-based candidates as well as those willing to relocate.

Renewables Program Manager

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for managing a team that leads and supports the development and management of current and future renewable energy programs, including the Simple Solar program, Community Solar program, REDI C&I program, CRSP program, CARES Utility Scale Subscription, CARES DG Subscription, CARES CIR, Income Qualified Community Solar, and Flex REC programs.

The Renewables Program Manager will manage existing programs in all aspects including program design, ensuring accurate accounting, billing, and participation, assisting and communicating with participants, required Regulatory filings, and implementation of new programs. The role is also responsible for translating business requests from management and other stakeholders into reporting deliverables for the organization such as: management summaries, detailed reports, and program impact projections of renewable programs. The position works with diverse teams across departments within GPC to accomplish objectives. The Renewables Program Manager will also be responsible for working closely with partner organizations, supporting renewable customer strategies, and communicating to customers and stakeholders regarding renewable energy programs. The role partners closely with leadership within Customer Solutions and across Renewable Development, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, Legal, Technology, and external stakeholders to advance renewable strategy, deliver new programs, and continuously improve program operations.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, or technical field preferred; MBA a plus

Prior experience in utility, renewable energy, or customer programs preferred, including regulatory support, rates and pricing, financial or economic analysis, customer solutions, power delivery, or energy programs

The Manager of Sustainability is responsible for leading and executing the company’s sustainability initiatives to translate strategy into daily actions. ROLE

Under close supervision, responsible for design, coordination, implementation and administration waste diversion programs through a comprehensive approach involving regular contact with key commercial/residential customers and local jurisdiction, education, community-wide services, and completes waste auditing services.

Environmental Quality Specialist 13 – Recycling and Waste Minimization Specialist

The Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy’s (EGLE) mission is to protect Michigan’s environment and public health by managing air, water, land, and energy resources.

This position is responsible for the management and oversight of residential recycling and waste minimization to ensure compliance with Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s Recycling Plan Initiative. This position serves as a Staff Specialist promoting increased residential recycling, providing technical assistance to local waste management programs, and supporting recycling measurement. It also functions to promote and oversee other waste utilization activities in accordance with the Materials Management Division (MMD) waste programs.

Education:

Possession of a bachelor’s degree in the biological sciences, engineering, environmental studies and sustainability, physical sciences, resource development, or resource management.

Sr. Project Engineers – Renewable Energy

Barton Malow Company is seeking Sr. Project Engineers to join our team on solar & wind projects throughout the Great Lakes Region. These positions will report to our teams in Southfield, MI and Grandville, MI. This role involves planning, developing, coordinating, supervising, and monitoring onsite construction engineering activities for projects. Program Associate, Clean Energy

Position Overview:

The Program Associate, Clean Energy, will report to the Program Managing Director and support IOF’s Program Officers in their implementation of IOF’s 2026-2028 Strategic Plan across all strategic pillars. Key responsibilities include research and report writing, administrative coordination and project management, grant and contract management, meeting and event planning, and tracking program metrics and deliverables. A Program Associate with experience analyzing data in the clean energy space may provide more quantitative support to the Program Officers, such as distilling market trends and assessing the impact of IOF’s work.

Pay Range:

$87,300 – $99,100. This represents the present low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to experience.

Work Schedule: 

Candidates will be considered for Remote or Hybrid Washington, DC duty stations. Washington, DC-based employees are on a hybrid work schedule. Current policy requires staff to be in the office on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and additionally as necessary.

Travel Requirements: 

This position may be required to travel up to 10% of the time.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support Program Officers’ management of grants and contracts, which may include communicating with current or prospective grantees, reviewing concept notes and annual reports, performing due diligence through research, and collecting and analyzing programmatic and financial information.
  • Assist Program Officers in scheduling and planning events such as meetings, conferences, and presentations, which may include coordinating with participants, handling logistics, and preparing materials.
  • Support the Program Officers’ grantmaking strategy by monitoring new developments and synthesizing reports, memos, media, and other sources of information.
  • Prepare strategy papers, research, and other written materials for the program team.
