Key Responsibilities:

Support client sustainability goals and ensure sustainability is incorporated in the employee experience for the new Client’s Global Headquarters at Rahway, NJ

Oversee a portfolio of energy and sustainability related data & reporting, education & awareness, and innovation initiatives

Assess viability of sustainability technical projects and identify opportunities to make sustainability an enhanced part of the workplace experience.
Coordinate delivery of initiatives across technical experts, capital project management team, supply chain, and community managers.

Undertake and manage waste and energy audits on sites. Identify and implement improvement opportunities.

Sustainability Manager

The Carnival Corporation Sustainability Manager supports the development and implementation of the company’s sustainability strategy by overseeing, supporting and tracking initiatives related to its goals and aspirations across all company brands and the ports the organization owns and operates. In addition, the manager will also be part of the team responsible for preparing the organizations sustainability report and other environmental, social governance (ESG)s disclosures through various digital platforms. The position will directly engage with internal sustainability stakeholders, non-governmental organizations, and ESG rating agencies among other stakeholders. The position will also provide regular data submissions to rating agencies and other stakeholders and work with Carnival’s brands and third parties to define, measure and track sustainability key performance indicators aligned with the company’s six sustainability focus areas. Assistant Professor of Natural Resources & Environment

The University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) Department of Natural Resources & Environment seeks innovative candidates for a 9-month tenure track faculty position (approximately 70% teaching, 20% research, and 10% service) at the Assistant Professor level. This is a joint appointment with the College of Natural Science and Mathematics (75%) and the Institute of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Extension (IANRE) (25%). The successful candidate will have the option to extend the position to 12 months through external funding. Possible areas of expertise include, but are not limited to: environmental policy and/or law, sustainability science, forest sciences or ecology and human dimensions of natural resources. **A separate faculty NRE position with a Soil Science focus will be posted in the near future, this will be updated with the direct link.

Wind/Renewable Energy Instructor

The Instructor in Renewable Energy will be responsible for teaching courses within the Wind Energy Program. These may include Introduction to Wind Energy, Introduction to Solar Energy, Mechanical Systems, Hydraulics, Electrical Theory, Electronics, Motors and Generators, Substations and Voltage Regulation, Field Training and Project Operations, Networking and Computer Technology, and other wind, blade repair, solar, drone, and substation courses. A bachelor’s degree is required with a master’s degree preferred. An exception to the bachelor’s requirement may be made if the candidate has an associate degree and substantial industry experience. The Renewable Energy Instructor is accountable for the following duties:

Sr. Manager Sustainability, Climate and Nature

As Sr. Manager Sustainability, Climate and Nature you will work closely with teams across Target to drive our climate and nature-related objectives to support Target’s Sustainability strategy, Target Forward, and related operational goals. Working within teams, and cross-functionally, the Sr Manager Sustainability ensures proper management of priority projects and initiatives and delivers outcomes on-time and with high quality. This role will conduct research, tracking, and reporting as needed in support of Target’s scope 3 climate reduction goals and relevant nature/biodiversity impacts and outcomes from our operations and supply chain. Vitis Energy is seeking a Renewable Developer who will have direct responsibility for managing the day-to-day advancement of energy projects (solar, battery storage, and emerging technology projects.) This position will be responsible for all deliverables of a specific project during each phase (development, construction and operations.) The successful candidate will be a self-starter with knowledge of PJM, MISO, NYISO, ISO-NE, SERC and SPP. Proven project management and transaction experience; strong communication skills and financial acumen; and an ability to drive complex deals to closure.

RENEWABLE DEVELOPER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO):

REAL ESTATE:

Manages schedule and deliverables on land control agreements, easements, ALTA/survey, title issues, and landowner relations.
Drives the development of renewable energy projects by ensuring all local requirements for evidencing site control with stakeholders are in place.

PERMITTING:

Assists with management of 3rd party consultants involved in environmental studies, securing permits, AHJ interaction, and fieldwork.

Director of Climate Resiliency

The Mystic River Watershed Association (MyRWA) was founded in 1972. Our vision is a vibrant, healthy and resilient Mystic River Watershed for the benefit of all our community members. To achieve this, MyRWA is building climate resilience, transforming parks and paths, protecting water quality, restoring important habitats, and inspiring youth and community members.

JOB SUMMARY. The Director of Climate Resiliency will catalyze and facilitate collective action in the Mystic River watershed to create climate-resilient communities to protect people and property from a wetter, and hotter future. They will be responsible for managing the climate team at MyRWA and for facilitating the Resilient Mystic Collaborative (RMC) as it pursues its ambitious social resilience agenda and climate projects in the watershed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES. The Director of Climate Resiliency leads all of MyRWA’s climate efforts—including the management of the 20-community Resilient Mystic Collaborative. This position will sit on the leadership team at MyRWA and contribute to MyRWA’s strategic direction and staff management. This position reports to the Executive Director. This position manages 2+ staff members, consultants, budgets, and strategic plans.

The work requires building strong relationships with municipal staff, community leaders, service providers, and policymakers throughout the watershed. It also requires someone who can work at various levels, from policy to program to project. This position provides substantial opportunities for creativity and professional growth.

The Director of Climate Resiliency will lead the RMC in centering equity in decision-making and project outcomes. We have recently completed a five-year program evaluation and strategic plan with ambitious goals around implementing new onboarding, and project development and evaluation practices and norms that address historic injustices around race, income, language, and abilities.

Resilient Mystic Collaborative: Serve as leader and partner to 20-municipal partners and CBOs to achieve regional resilience.Manages a team of external consultants and staff to achieve goals on social resiliency, flooding, and heat.
Funding for Climate Forward Projects: Since its inception in 2018, the RMC has secured nearly $140 million in foundation, state, and federal grants and federal budget earmarks for regional and local resilience projects in the Mystic Watershed. The Director of Climate Resiliency should have a sophisticated understanding of the funding landscape including MVP, state earmarks, and other green budget mechanisms–to push projects forward.
Legislative, Organizing and Climate Resilience Landscape: Engage regularly with local and state elected officials and their staff to 1) stay current on the project needs on the ground and maintain a comprehensive view of climate resilience opportunities across the watershed, and 2) be in the conversations about regional or state policies or programs that affect climate resilience work in the watershed. Be able to connect the dots between local CBOS, municipalities, agencies and elected officials-and be familiar with both grass tops and grassroots organizing.
